Nowadays, people tend to create a law-based society with a high culture of human relations, which will be determined by social justice, conscience and discipline. Such a society necessitates the moral education of everyone. Morality in society is supported by force of public opinion, public expression of moral evaluation and immoral person. Great importance in the moral development of the personality has its own attitude to commit actions and deeds, in order to comply with the established social moral requirements. It is necessary to aspired to be a moral person, who is complied with the moral norms and rules by their own inner desire and understanding of their necessity. The purpose of the work is to analyze what features of formation of moral ideas, actions and cultural behavior.
Shaping Ethical Behavior
Ethical behavior is based on the moral consciousness and the result of free choice of the individual. Human behavior depends on the moral standards of qualities and principles that had formed in childhood. If one observes the moral norms accepted in society (respect for the old, don't offend the weak, don't lie, etc.), this behavior is considered normal, relevant rules. The central point of moral behavior is an action that describes the ability of a person to a conscious goal setting, selection of appropriate tools and independent action. For example, in order to take the exam on a positive assessment, it is necessary to learn a certain amount of knowledge on the subject, but it is possible (with a certain skill) to use the crib. And even if the goal is reached, these actions will have different estimates from different sides. (Source 2) You cannot be virtuous in the soul with the false and cynical behavior. Our actions show what we really are. Any action should be considered in conjunction with its motives and consequences. Act precedes motivation, which plays the role of a pulse stimulus to action. This is a very strong regulator of human behavior, no less important than just the act. For example, for the conquest of the mountain top athletes climbers are able to overcome enormous difficulties, even risk of their lives.
At the same time, the motives and actions may be different or may not match each other in terms of their moral foundation. It is not always "good intentions" (motives) leads to correct actions and vice versa. (Source 5) Sometimes people hide from relatives (parents, spouses), their indiscretions, guided by the motive, that they do it for their sake not to upset them. But sooner or later, have learned of the deception, our loved ones even more upset. Nevertheless, there are situations in life when people are cheating and consider it not just acceptable, but even the only correct way of behavior.
A major role in moral regulation of behavior plays a moral evaluation. Moral assessment suggests approval or condemnation of an act of man, his behavior, way of thinking and life based on the requirements of morality. Everyone wants approval, tends to a positive evaluation of their actions, both, by doing good deeds, and by preventing or concealing their evil deeds. Public opinion assesses the person's behavior (actions) in terms of compliance or non-compliance of ethical standards in society adoption. If young person in a conversation with an older man admits roughness, if the seller sells notoriously poor-quality goods, if the student or the teacher lied to his comrades, public opinion condemns them because their behavior is contrary to the moral norms accepted in society. Culture of behavior helps people to communicate with others. Important results have been obtained by scientists, such as Stanley Milgram and his colleagues at Yale University in 1960. A series of experiments which purpose was to investigate the influence of authority figures in ethical decision-making under pressure. The essence of the experiment was to see how long a person, in specific and controlled situations, will continue to command causing increasing pain protesting victim. The teacher involved in a conflict between the student, who applied to protest against his treatment, and the experimenter - an authoritative figure, who insists that the teacher increases the strength of the current in order to continue the experiment. The experimental results showed that about half of the subjects obeyed the promptings of the experimenter, despite the painful sacrifices protests. It seemed that the experimenting actors were so passionate about the experiment that moral considerations were ignored. According to Milgram, "subject entrusted to border problems getting the goals and moral authority of the pilot estimates, which governs". Many participants wanted to please the experimenter and have made their job conscientious. (Source 6)
The nature of interpersonal relations may either increase or decrease the level of moral behavior. Creating a healthy atmosphere in the organization, maintaining the camaraderie and understanding among colleagues, management can control the level of moral consciousness in the organization. Respect the person's personality, understanding, friendship and confidence create the best conditions for the formation of etiquette behavior. Required attitude creates elaborated jointly conduct the procedure in the group, on employment, in which the basic rules are as follows: to empathize, to show a friendly interest and patience; kindly accept others; not refuse to participate in games and exercises; do not be ashamed of his ignorance and inability; do not be afraid to make mistakes; do not laugh at others. A great role in training and educating behavioral culture plays a mother tongue. Education proper, beautiful behavior contributes to the development of pupil voice. For this purpose, it is necessary to expand the child's circle of ethical and behavioral concepts, which is achieved with the help of dictionary work. Raising standards of behavior from the standpoint of modern etiquette conducted in compliance with the principles of teaching and etiquette. Education of children is carried out in the course of activity, with the unity of the requirements of the teacher and parents; pedagogical leadership combined with the development of children's initiative and activity are taken into account age and individual characteristics of children.
The "golden rule" of morality is a fundamental rule and it is often identified with the morality. It reads: "Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you." This rule was first clearly formulated in the middle of I millennium BC, and simultaneously independently in different cultures - ancient, ancient Indian, Greek. Most often it is comprehended as a fundamental moral truth of great practical wisdom. The "golden rule" of morality requires from man in relationship with other people to follow such rules. It is necessary mentally put yourself into the other's' place. You would like to see you lying? So do not lie to others. Therefore, it would be correct also to say, "Do not wish others what you do not want them to want you." This rule can be formulated as follows: "Treat others as you want them to treat you."
Thus, here comes some conclusions in shaping ethical behavior: person's behavior expresses his attitude towards other people, society and himself; the central element of moral behavior is an act preceded motif goal setting, decision making; estimated act not only on the results, but also for reasons driving human actions; moral assessment suggests approval or condemnation of the act, of human behavior on the basis of the laws of morality; the "golden rule" of morality requires from man in his relationship with other people to follow such rules, which are suitable for all people and express the general requirement of humanity. The problem of moral education in the wide sense is one of the problems posed by the entire course of human development. Every era in accordance with the specific tasks for her socio-economic and cultural development, calls for moral education and formation of cultural behavior. Sometimes even well-educated people don't always behaved well, because he has not developed a culture of elementary norms of behavior. With the loss of morality, conscience, arrogance and rudeness, society has already suffered enough. Being cultured, well-mannered is not the property of some special people's circle. Become a harmonious personality, who is able to behave with dignity in any situation - the right and duty of every person. Thus, it depends on people which way to choose: to be a harmonious personality who chooses by himself his dignity future or the personality who will be only a member of the poor society.
