Whether to keep the monarchy in the twenty - first century? Bookmakers started taking bets. In 1994, the rates adopted the rate of 100 to 1, but a year later fell to 5 to 1. Assessing the unpredictable events in 1996, one of the company's London-based bookie, "William Hill " said: "The best investment specialists say that Her Majesty when she was seventy years, will retire and give the crown to Charles. Now is the only way to put her heir to the throne. During the next five years, it would make a deal with the Prime Minister. What will the government - Tory or Labour - does not matter, because both parties are forced to advocate for the monarchy. If the queen expressed similar wish her ??no one can deny." But as we know, the predictions have not come true bookmakers.

Seemed to be fulfilled the prediction of Sir John Colville, who was private secretary to Winston Churchill and Elizabeth helped prepare for the accession to the throne: "I think that our queen will reign until until celebrates its golden jubilee, fifty years in the role of the monarch in 2002 AD. "

But these prophecies did not materialize. To this day, Queen Elizabeth II is the head of states of the Commonwealth.

Work on this topic, I discovered the most famous family in the world on the other side. I consider unfair that many members of the royal family remain in the shadows. This research work has allowed me to learn many unique facts both about the family and about the country in which they live. Methodical work is valuable for teaching English in the study of the United Kingdom.
