The Catalogue of Semantic Shifts: 20 Years Later

Semantic transition as a relation of cognitive adjacency between two linguistic meanings. Grammaticalization - a specific class of semantic shift can manifest itself in various types of realizations like polysemy, cognates, morphological derivation.
