Executive summary

Sole proprietorship "CLEASY" Laundromat is a coin operated laundry which provides self and full services (washing, drying, ironing and delivering) directed at creating customer value and customer satisfaction through high quality washing machines and providing favorable conditions zone with comfortable cafeteria (including Wi- Fi). Laundromat office will be located on the intersection of Chui Avenue and Logvinenko Street with parking and security. New technologically advanced token-operated washing and ironing machines will be bought and transported from "Vyaz'maBelmash" Russia Company

Projected sales for the first year are 3 759 875som, for the second 7 700 000 som and third 8 780 566. Profit for the first year is negative, however second years profit supposed to be 76 686 third 1 307 816 which is progressing preceding years.

We are targeting mainly for students and males who leave alone.

The next target segment is young families or families that don't have washing machine at home and busy people, who work a lot.

Keys to success of our laundry are price competitiveness, speed and quality, location and convenience.

Primary objectives of "Cleasy" is to have first year total sales in excess of 50,000$, producing net profits of over 30,000$ in two years and attain 25% of market share by the end of the first year.

1.1 Introduction

It is obvious that every person wants to be protected. Clean clothes are also one of the human bodies' safety measures. In order to keep clothes clean people should launder them frequently. Today, thanks to technical innovations, people may acquire laundry washers in order to wash their clothes easily. On the other hand, they are not affordable for everyone, it is the main problem for most students, young families, newcomers, those who rent an apartment, busy working people, single men and all Bishkek citizens who prefer clean (target customers), easy and affordable laundry, but do not have an opportunity to have clean and easy laundry. Unfortunately there are no cheap Laundromats offering both self and full laundry service opportunities yet.

We introduce you a new "CLEASY" laundry business, which is a self and full token-operated laundry (washing, drying, and optional ironing and folding) service dedicated to consistently providing high customer satisfaction by providing reliable machines and furnishing a clean, enjoyable area with a cozy cafeteria (with Wi-Fi) in it at a competitive price relationship.

In addition to being the sole Laundromat in this neighborhood and surrounded by residences, there is no potential for a competitor.

Convenience: offering customers services ranging from token-operated self to full-service washing, drying and optional ironing, and folding; and also extended business hours.

If a customer prefers self-service opportunity, all he has to do is to buy tokens from laundry manager and use them to run the machine in order to wash his clothes. As mentioned, our Laundry area also includes cozy cafeteria for washing cycle ending waiting customers, where they can buy coffee, tea, sodas, and other non-alcoholic drinks and some tasty light snacks as well. Moreover, what is most likely to make our cafeteria even more attractive is the availability of Wi-Fi, with help of which you can check your e-mails, hang on the social networks and find something interesting. In addition, while clothes will be washing students can do their home assignments on comfortable tables. Also, our cafeteria may give unique opportunity of new nice acquaintances.

In case a customer chooses full service opportunity, our cleaning staff of well-trained professional workers washes and dry his clothes, offering optional ironing and folding for a small additional pay.

Competitive Advantage

Cost-competitiveness - compared to all of our major competitors, our prices are much lower, providing the same service and even more. For comparison, in our laundry cleaning service of one kilogram of all sorts of clothes starts from 25 to 45 soms, while the prices in all other major Bishkek laundries varies from 45 (for linen only) to 280 soms per kilogram of garments.

Speed - both self and full cleaning services are provided by our laundry; consequently, it gives an ability to fasten our business and make the speed of our business twice bigger than that of our competitors.

Quality - all cleaning, drying, and folding processes will be carried out by our well-trained cleaning employees, only high-quality detergents will be used and sold (for self-service if needed) for washing the clothes. Also delivery will be on time and customers' clothes will be safe in the hands of our company, which appreciates quality in business a lot.

Innovations - as far as our deep research goes, there are no Laundromats providing both token-operated self and full laundry services in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan); neither do Bishkek Laundromats provide cafeteria and Wi-Fi in laundry area. It makes our business the first in its innovative idea in Bishkek, so it is very much distinguishing and more attractive than other laundries.

1.4 Company Ownership

Sole proprietorship

Franchise owner Nazgul Koilubaeva has recently launched "CLEASY" to make it the number one laundry franchise in Bishkek. So, "CLEASY" business entity is owned and run by the director and there is no legal distinction between the owner and the business. The director receives all profits (subject to taxation specific to the business) and has unlimited responsibility for all losses and debts. Every asset of the business is owned by the proprietor and all debts of the business are the proprietor's. This means that the director has no less liability than if they were acting as an individual instead of as a business. The registration procedures are quite simple and the business can start operations as soon as possible.

Legal Issues

"CLEASY" Company is a sole proprietorship; hence in order to register it legally we should go through the following steps:

1. We should make notarization of owner's documents such as registration statement of the form approved by the registering authority (see the form in Appendix), copy of founder's passport, which will cost 200 soms

2. Registered business in a "single window"

3. Production of stamps, which will cost 1200 soms

So, the total sum that we need to register "CLEASY" Company is 1400 soms, moreover going through all those steps will take 5 working days.

A reliable partnership is hard to find in the business world where competition is always fierce. It is fortunate for us to have found great businesses partners listed below, who are very professional, efficient, and true to its word. 1.6 Company Locations and Facilities

Location: "CLEASY" Company will be opened in an 80 square meters office on the intersection of Chui Avenue and Logvinenko Street with parking and security, which is in the heart of the Bishkek. Careful environmental analysis showed that almost all laundry businesses of Bishkek are located out of the city. Hence, they are primarily located in the remote areas, so that it is hard and takes time to get there.

Moreover in this district "CLEASY" Company will be closer to main universities and lodgings, where our main target groups will live. Furthermore, others can easily find our address and reach us by public or private transportation. As one of our main target segments are students our location will be very convenient for them. Before going to universities, they can leave their clothes in Laundromat and after their lessons are finished or according to their time schedule they can easily pick up their things.

We will draw up a lease agreement for 3 years, the monthly lease payment of which will be equal to 69,225 soms. However, the lease can be prolonged at our own wish as it is stated in the agreement.

An office will be used for laundry process, sitting in the internet, talking and doing other different things. Our office will be equipped with tables, chairs, Wi-Fi router, and surely high-quality washing and ironing machines.

2. Environmental analysis

Laundry is a simple fact of life. No matter what else occurs, clothes and linens must be washed, dried, and cleaned. The new company "CLEASY" is going to offer self and full laundry services in Bishkek, which are necessary for citizens to wash their clothes and linen. "CLEASY" will be the only company who provides self services, which means that the customers can buy special tokens for a low price in order to operate our token-operated washing machines to clean their clothes. We have made a survey, the sample and analysis of which are in Appendix, in order to know the service necessity and the frequency of our potential customers' using those services.

While "CLEASY" is the first company in Kyrgyzstan which offers self laundry services, there all other laundry companies offer full service only. These are "Laundry", "Aliya", "Nur Cleaning Service", "Salon Byta Sanjar", "Dootaliev" and others. "CLEASY" will also accurately analyze its competitors and customers in order to make any adjustments if needed in order to have strong company recognition.

Conclusion

All laundry companies are situated far away from the center, which make them hardly accessible for the plenty of customers. One of them provides 24 hour service, while four of them do not. The prices, in comparison to our prices, are sufficiently higher. None of them provides the self service, which make their service speed much lower compared to our business speed.

2.2 Market analysis

"CLEASY" consists of consumers who want to keep clean their clothes and linens in convenient way for affordable prices. Those who have extra time can use our self services for cheap price, at the same time if they do not have enough time they can use our full services which mean that our specialists prepare your clean clothes and linens as soon as they will be back.

2.3 Target groups

o Students can use machines at our laundry, and while machines are working for them, they can study in special rooms

o Single men can use full or self- service, while enjoying hot coffee or tea and use Wi-Fi, and maybe have some new acquaintances

o Full services for people who are very busy and work a lot

o Families (especially young families) or newcomers that do not have machines at home. They can use washing machines and while machines are working, visitors can relax at one of our rooms, drink coffee and enjoy sweet deserts at our cafe.

As any other company "CLEASY" has its own strengths on which it will basically rely, weaknesses which should be improved, opportunities that await this company in the future as well threats though.

3. Marketing strategy

"CLEASY" Company's marketing strategy is based on the providing of both self and full laundry services for affordable prices. Therefore, our primary consumer target is low to upper-income people who need easy and convenient way to keep their clothes and linens clean and fresh.

Our secondary consumer targets are universities, hospitals and may be kindergartens, where all of them need cleanness of clothes and linens.

Our primary business targets are small restaurants and hairdressing salons where a big number of clean towels are required.

3.1 Positioning

"CLEASY" positions itself as the most multipurpose and convenient laundry. Our marketing will focus on the promotion of both self and full services.

3.2 Service strategy

The "CLEASY" full and self laundry services will be conducted by new technologically advanced token-operated washing and ironing machines that are transported from "Vyaz'maBelmash" Russia Company. Also our customers will be provided with a good quality powder and "Calgon" which are necessary in order for clothes and linens to be clean and fresh. Moreover, our services will be actively advertised during marketing campaign.

3.3 Pricing strategy

"CLEASY" Company will introduce its services as follows:

· Self service - 25 soms per kg

· Full service - 40 soms per kg

· Delivery: within the city - 100 soms

outside the city - 150 soms

The strategy of "CLEASY" Company is reflected by high quality and attractive prices for consumers.

3.4 Communication channel

"CLEASY" will use direct marketing in distribution of its services. Thus we will communicate with customers directly. Our messages will highlight a concentration on our customers, information, and reliability.

We will use several marketing methods and tools as follows:

· Print and other advertisements

Newspapers "Vecherniy Bishkek" and "Super Info" in Russian and Kyrgyz languages will be providing information on their pages about services that "CLEASY" offers. Moreover, "NTRK" TV channel and radio "Europe plus" will contain information about "CLAESY" laundry in their lists of advertisement. We also will communicate with our customers through our web-site, where they can find information about services.

· Email signups

We will offer customers special place so that they can sign up for e-mail reminders of special events.

· Flyers

Flyers with information about Laundromat will be placed in stores and bus stops so that we will reach broad segment of population. Additionally, posters will be posted in almost all universities and dormitories.

3.5 Action programs

"CLEASY" Company will be opened in January 2012. Specific marketing tasks are distributed for 12 months of initial year. Approximate number of advertisement expenses is shown in Appendix.

1. January, 2012. After opening "CLEASY" Company we will promote it through TV. We are going to sign an agreement with "NTRK", as this is first national TV channel.

2. February, 2012. At this period we are going to start print campaigns. The newspapers that will promote us are "Vechernii Bishkek" and "Super Info". Moreover, we will work out on our official website.

3. March, 2012. We will introduce our official website, where our clients can easily get information about us.

4. April, 2012. "CLEASY" will also be promoted by radio such as "Europe Plus" in order to attract youth and drivers, who listen to this station.

5. May, 2012. We will provide some customer motivation programs which offers several incentives for them. For example, discount of 5% who will wash more than 10 kg and 10% for more than 20 kg.

6. June, 2012. We will conduct a survey in order to find out the customers' attitude towards "CLEASY" Company. After we will analyze the survey results to make some adjustments if needed.

7. July, 2012. Official pages of "CLEASY" Company will be opened on facebook.com, mail.ru, odnoklassniki.ru, and vkontakte.ru.

8. August, 2012. In addition, promotional flyers of "CLEASY" will be introduced and distributed by promoters.

9. September, 2012. We will repeat customer motivational programs.

10. October, 2012. We will distribute "CLEASY" posters in almost all Bishkek universities and dormitories, where students (one of our target groups) spend their time.

11. November, 2012. "CLEASY" customer satisfaction survey will be conducted by marketing department of "CLEASY" Company.

4. Personnel plan

4.1 Management summary

"CLEASY" provides beneficial conditions for its labor pool, our employees will be paid a monthly wage, plus commission. Bonuses will be provided with each year of service following an annual review to encourage employee retention. Vacations, payroll will be provided as well.

Depending on the demand for the service, we might add more personnel. With the added duties and responsibilities, it's reasonable and possible to increase salaries. As for machine maintenance, this will be outsourced at Digital Service Center. This is an on-call independent repair service. They have been known within the community, as one of the reliable and prompt repair services. It's been estimated to cost approximately $150 per month for maintenance (the exact salaries are shown in Appendix). Employment information will be advertised in local newspapers, local forums and job related websites.

4.2 Operational structure

Director

The business is managed by the owner, who has extensive leadership and management skills as well as an innovative and creative character. Our director is an ambitious, hardworking, philosophical leader and businessman. He has extensive business experience and knowledge in various fields including laundry, retail sales, service and the Internet industry. Richard Green is a mature, experienced, and creative person, who is able to provide leadership to best meet the needs of the entire community, and growing the participation in, and effectiveness of the community. Mr. Green has bachelor degree in Business Administration in European International School of Business and gained his master degree in Economics in London School of Economics. Richard Green has a unique ability to manage the company, possesses excellent conceptual and communicational skills and is experienced in business

The overall duties of an accountant of our company are preparing, and analyze accounting records, financial statements and reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Marketing Manager

Supervisor/Laundry Expert/Cashier

Unlike most Laundromat businesses, "Cleasy" will have an on-site staff person (Maintenance/Cashier) dedicated not only to store and machine maintenance but who also acts as a cashier to the retail business within the Laundromat. As part of the management philosophy, this Maintenance/Cashier employee will be carefully evaluated for friendliness, professionalism, efficiency, and honesty.

Cleaning Staff and Drivers

"Cleasy" will employ a cleaning service providing staff of 3 part-time employees. Also Two part-time drivers for picking up and delivering clothes work from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm three times a week.

Cleaning Staff Duties and Requirements:

· Understand and apply dry cleaning and washing processes

· Meet set standards by following instructions

· Work in hot, humid surroundings

· Perform the same work continuously

· Overtime may be required during peak seasons such as spring and autumn

Handling of Money

Money from machines will be collected twice a week by the director. It will be counted by a counting machine and deposited directly into the bank account. The collection time will vary to maximize security of revenue.

Conclusion In our understanding the company has to have the proper expertise in key areas to succeed. Therefore, the proper personnel have to be recruited, integrated into the development process, and managed so that everyone forms a team focused on the achievement of the development goals.

The founder of "CLEASY" Company generated 1,685,382 soms which is $36,167. The rest $60,000 we took credit from Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank for 2.17 years at 16% interest. Table 4 is summary of our bank loan.

Break-even calculations show that the "CLEASY" company will become profitable after exceeding the following number of clothes or linen kilograms that should be washed:

· Full service = 1,815,655 soms / (40 soms - 19.71 soms) = 89477.86 (kg)

· Self service = 1,815,655 soms / (25 soms - 19.71 soms) = 343115.9 (kg)

These calculations were done by using this formula: estimated fixed cost/ (average price per kg - average variable cost per kg). Moreover, there is a diagram of break-even point in Appendix.

Payback period

Estimated average net profit of "CLEASY" Company is 1,384,502 soms, and the start-up capital is 4,481,362 soms. Hence, the payback period for this business is 4,481,362 soms / 1,384,502 soms = 3.23, which means that recovering initial investment will take approximately 3 years and 3 months.
