As the famous Russian composer Sergey Rakhmaninov (n.d.) said: «Music is enough for a lifetime - but a lifetime is not enough for music». Actually, the music is present in all spheres of life, from birthdays to weddings, from education to hobbies, even it is a funeral. So, there are different kinds of music for all events of life. Music can even be used to strengthen or weaken emotions. At a funeral, a certain song could be played and trigger a memory or emotion in a person that brings them to tears. At a wedding, the couple's song could be played causing an elevated joy to the two people. The preferences of each person are different, as well as types of music. Music can influence people's mood, physical performance and health. Moreover, music can affect people's brain works, and students can use this benefit in their favor.

In some cases listening to music has negative effect on students' progress. Such music as hard rock, which has exiting sounds, can be harmful for students' education process. Many studies have found that listening to hard rock music has some negative effects on the human mind (e.g. Friedman, 1959). Greenberg and Fisher (1971) conducted a study in which they played some background music to people who were studying, and it was discovered that those subjects who heard loud, hard rock type music did not attempt the test very well. A study conducted by Henderson, Crews, and Barlow (1945) discovered that some of the subjects on a paragraph comprehension test were distracted by popular music while the hard rock music had adverse effects on the vocabulary test scores. Wolf and Weiner (1972) conducted a study that concluded that there were certain significant differences between the performances of students on arithmetic tests who listened to hard rock music while studying and those who studied in softer music, or in complete silence. These differences were, however, attributed to habituation as most of the test subjects said that they listened to «hard rock» while studying. Differences in mathematic test scores were found with varying levels of music loudness by the study conducted by Wolfe (1983). Many subjects did claim that louder music caused their concentration to fall.

In addition, while students are listening to rock music and at same time doing homework, their brains skip all important points of the learning, because hard rock is the type of music with strong sounds, which are distracted students from learning process. Until students do not understand how this music harmful for study process, they will skip all important information. So, if something interferes during the process, the final result does not reach normal indicators. In this case, the student's study performance decreases in fast pace. One researcher claims that music, which has enforced or sexually explicit lyrics can influence children's mood, behavior and social interactions, as well on students' school performance (Effects of Rap, 2009). While the singers are performing their talents, they used screams and shouting. All these things influence on students' study progress negatively.

Experiment which was conducted by Daoussis and McKelvie (1986) found that, introverts and extroverts had different scores while doing tasks and listening to music. Scientists shared students into two groups with same number of extraverts and introverts to determine how music which has violent sounds affected on them. The first group did task while rock and roll music played, and second group did the task in silence. Their task was to read text twice and then answer the questions. The results of extraverts were same. Whiles, introverts scored different amount of right answers. Those who did task, while rock and roll music played, had low score. Accordingly, those who did task in silence reached high score. So music which has such kind of sounds effects on students not on the good way to listen in study achievements.

At the same time, listening to music helps to learn. Music improves learning abilities. Music affects the process of learning and thinking. Quiet and soothing music helps you work faster and in a more efficient way. One research has shown that music brings about remarkable improvements in the academic skills of students, who are made to listen to certain kinds of music while studying or working in the lab. Listening to pleasant music, while doing a difficult task, can make it seem easier.

Furthermore, music relaxes the mind and lowers stress levels that inhibit learning. For example hip-hop music which includes rhythmic melodies. Also, in business Hip-Hop has significant influence, while it is used by teachers to educate to students successful business strategies (Morikawa, 2005). In addition, the music which has positive sounds is used to teach children in mathematics (Kajitani, 2006).

Also, type of music such as classical music has positive influence on study achievements. The classical music has calmed sounds and influence to students in good side. This music can be short or long, it can be intend for instruments or for voice. Generally, the classical music has full of meanings which are transmitted from composer. Listening to this music while studying can increase students' brain activity. The experiment which was conducted in Ohio University found that students, who in some case connected with classical music, be it playing in some classical instruments or often listening to this music, have better reading or mathematical skills (Hallam & Price & Katsarou, 2002).According to O'Donnell (1999) the classical music enhances the memory retention and growth the capacity of the brain and also can increase learning abilities. One of the most useful classical music is Mozart's sonatas. «The Mozart Effect» (Campbell, 2000) describes all advantages for students' study performance which are provided by Mozart's sonatas. In addition, listening to this music can help students to increase test and exam scores, help integrate both sides of the brain for more effective learning and Mozart sonatas help to raise students' IQ. The music with calmed sounds has powerful effect on increasing students' study achievements. Another study of Steele (as cited in Darby & Vincent, 2001), college students who listen to Mozart before taking the test reasoning show better results than their group mates who did not listen to Mozart.

To conclude, different types of music differently affected on students' learning process and study achievements. Hard rock music can distract students' attention from learning. Relating to researches and experiments, it seems that this music only bias, and has more cons. Another music which was discussed is hip-hop style. This music influences on students' mind in equal quantities of benefits and profits. It can be used in some spheres of education, such as business, gym and mathematics. Nevertheless, it can be harmful because of positive tempo which diverts students. Another example is classical music, which has more positive effects. It can help to increase students' productivity, and achieve goals while learning. Even though, sometimes, music leads negative effects on students' study achievements, science supports the idea that music can provide a great assist in learn.
