Do You Have What it Takes to Be a Game Developer?

Beauty, brains, talent, a computer...

I've always thought game developers were born, not made. True greatness comes from within. If it isn't there, it can't be learned, and if it is there, it can't help but be discovered. To be a game developer, you must truly love games. Not just playing games, but understanding games. You must love the whole concept of dissecting a game, breaking it down to its smallest parts, and visualizing how the pieces fit into the whole.

The chapters in this web site deal with the programming aspects of game development. It should be noted, there are other careers in game development besides that of programmer. A typical game passes through many hands on its way to final release. But the programmer is the critical element. Without the programmer, there is no game. Period. And since I am a programmer, this site will focus on game development from the point of view of the programmer, with all other related occupations considered ancillary.

As the game programmer, it is good to keep in mind that the more of the other game development roles you can fill, the better. That is, if you can do some of the other jobs involved in game development, then you will own more of the final product. Let's consider what other jobs game developers do.

Game programming, a subset of game development, is the software development of video games. Game programming requires substantial skill in software engineering as well as specialization in one or more of the following areas, which overlap heavily to create a game: simulation, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, physics, audio programming, and input. Though often engaged in by professional game programmers, many novices may program games as a hobby.

Actuality of the project.

This topic is more relevant for that play video games more than they say. This is a modern subject for many young people. Many people spend money and time in order to play that many die from the game, become addicted. So say those who generally do not understand it. First over to understand what it is, and then to judge. There are those who talk about the advantages of video games that they help children adopt it in The Society. Because they can sit and play with your friends or other people over the Internet. This itself as a social network of communication. And help adopt it together in the gaming community, and work in a team.

First of all, why boys are so fond of video games, especially violent? In focus groups, the guys were talking about that get a lot of pleasure driving skills, costumes, weapons and personality favorite characters of video games. For example, the boy likes to play tanks online, because he just wants to take over control of this tank, but has no real possibility. When this same boy was asked to imagine what he would do if he could transform into your favorite virtual character for one day, he fantasized about what would have more power in their daily lives: «If I could be a powerful, Gene, when above all someone bullied, and he can not protect himself, I would have helped him.» «If I was Sub-Zero (interestingly, this hero is not a harmless online games for kids and cruel fighting game - approx. Ed.), I would have gone to school, soaked to their teachers and directors, and the kids could do all they want!» - told in a focus group the other boy.

Competing with other people and socialization (the ability to compete with their friends and peers) - another important reason why boys are psychologically so fond of video games. Many boys (indeed, grown men - too) cope so stress and anger, distracted by domestic problems. And, of course, pure entertainment - it is stupid to argue with the fact that video games - it's just fun.

And what makes these games so popular? this talk.

Practical meaning of the project. I think everyone agrees that video games are the most relevant topics around the world. We can not go ahead without their development. I have to say that video games are now as synonymous with entertainment, the game is the key to a new culture.

The practical significance of the project

This project includes people's thoughts about the good and bad sides of the video games. The main theme of this project is about the famous games, and their creations, helped many find themselves and help with life.

The purpose of the project aims to show the entire history of gaming technology from simple pixel games to modern digital. It also aims to assess students' knowledge on the subject and to the importance of video games.

The aim of the project.

Present day many people are starting to play video games. From what? - you ask. Maybe because the game industry has evolved and they are new computers, graphics cards and processors and so forth. I started to be more exciting and realistic. And I wanted to tell you, why so many negative comments about video games and games in General. What used to be Classic games that your parents played were better, sportier, and that those games are developed for spiritual and better reveal the circular and help to distinguish people, to work in a team, and now games are ruining children , they become nervous and short-tempered become mental retarded children grow up doing a lot of crimes and suicide. Maybe so, maybe not. All have pluses and minuses, we can't judge people about their Hobbies or passions, if not tabby. Previously lived 6-7 centuries philosophy wrote the book that would ruin the man. People read and read, they don't want recruit your potentially and read the ideas and opinions of others and what humanity can degrade .

The object of the project.

1) to study literature of this theme

2) to give students the blanks with questions. to know the opinion of random students

3) to explain this theme

1. The Things Game Developers Do

pixel game digital software

Programmer - The whole world revolves around the programmer. The programmer is the one who takes the unrealistic expectations of everybody else and finds a way to make them work. If the producer wants to change the user interface at the last minute, it's the programmer who stays up all night making the change. If the artist can't figure out how SVGA palettes work, it's the programmer who writes a color-reducing and palette-matching utility. Without the programmer, there would be no computer games.

Artist - Artists are important too. In some games, such as Myst, I will grudgingly admit the artists played a more critical role than the programmer. This is the exception however, not the rule. The rule is, the programmer is the pivotal element in all game development.

These days, many artists prefer to be called «animators». Many garbagemen prefer to be called «sanitation engineers» too, but it doesn't make a bit of difference in what they actually do.

Musician - They make music. They can make sound effects too. There are a lot of them, and there is barely enough work to go around. Most of them are starving.

Producer - The producer oversees game development and makes sure all the elements of the development are in place. A producer may, for example, acquire resources for programmers and artists, may hand out money, and may give orders. Sometimes a programmer or an artist may play the role of producer, which often works well. Sometimes a producer is a low-level manager with no particular game development talent, who nonetheless involves himself in micro-managing the development process. This occasionally spells disaster.

Designer - This is a nebulous term. Sometimes the producer thinks he is the designer, when actually the programmer is the designer. The artist should be the designer, being that he has the creative talent, but nobody pays attention to the artist. Sometimes a person comes out of nowhere and declares himself to be designer, and asks for millions of dollars for selling a title and a story line. Ha! Fat chance.

If you are a programmer and you need design help, look to an experienced designer with a track record in the type of game you want to develop. There are people who actually excel at designing levels, puzzles, likeable characters and entertaining story lines. Tom Hall, formerly of id Software, comes to mind as a successful and well-loved game designer. Really good designers like Tom are rare.

Push and pop quiz.

Ancient history: who is this character, and what was the name of his arch nemesis?

Captain Comic By Michael Denio (1988)

Before there was Commander Keen, Before there was Jazz Jackrabbit, there was Captain Comic. The original PC side-scroller/platform game, Captain Comic enjoyed enormous popularity during the late 1980s. The author, Michael Denio, showed great promise as a game developer capable of creating revolutionary technology.

Unfortunately, the Captain Comic game was missing one essential ingredient: registration incentives. Although people played it faithfully, they rarely bothered to send money to the author. The sequel to Captain Comic, Captain Comic II: Fractured Reality did not do much better as a retail offering. The publisher, Computer Easy did little to promote the game, and sales were mediocre.

Michael went on to write the popular Floor Plan home design software, which sold for several years. As far as I know, Michael no longer writes games.

The arch nemesis of Captain Comic (besides bad marketing) was the Skrejgib, spelled backwords as «big jerks», which no doubt Michael met a few of during his game programming career.

1.1 Some Popular Types of Games

First Person 3D shooting Games. You know, like Doom or Quake. You're not ready for this yet.

Side Scrollers - A genre that is close to my heart. These are games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Brothers. On the PC, these are games like Commander Keen and Jazz Jackrabbit. These games are fun to play, but deceptively difficult to develop. These games require a huge investment in not only programming, but artwork and level design. This is not a good choice for a first game, but perhaps a second or third game. If you are interested in side-scroller games, you may want to check out my book Action Arcade Adventure Set.

Adventure Games - These are games like Monkey Island and Myst, which tend to be graphics intensive, but often do not involve intensive animation. Unlike twitch games (games which rely upon hand-eye coordination), adventure games tend to involve thinking puzzles. Often they have complex story lines and lead the player through the solution to some kind of mystery. One of my favorite adventure games is I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream which features a storyline by well-known science fiction writer (and potty-mouthed crank) Harlan Ellison. Again, this type of game requires a huge investment in artwork.

Parlor Games - This a catch-all category, including card games, board games, word games, and classic games like cribbage and Chinese checkers. For our purposes, I'm going to include gambling games in this category too, although most people give them a category by themselves.

Games in this category are usually a good pick for a first game. Be careful about trademarks, though. I wouldn't write Monopoly or Risk, unless you have a good lawyer.

Puzzle Games - Another catch-all category. Jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles go here, along with token-shifting games like Cargo Bay or Rings of the Magi from MVP Software. Games such as Pipe Dream and Tetris may fit here, or in Arcade games. This is another excellent place to start.

Arcade games Games like Asteroids, Breakout, Centepede, overhead shooters, or any game relying heavily on hand-eye coordination. These games can be simple or difficult. If your taste moves in this direction, it is a good place to start, but I recommend choosing a simple concept for your first game.

Don't let the concept of intensive animation throw you. Even beginners can master animation techniques with a good graphics library like Fastgraph. A simple arcade game with fast animation will be easier and cheaper to produce than a graphics-intensive adventure game, for example.

Choose Carefully.

Give your first game some thought. Think about your options and weigh the costs and benefits. Remember, the goal is not to make your first game an award winner, or even a money maker. The goal is to prove to yourself and to the world that you can be a game developer. Once you have a complete game, finished and ready to show to the world, then you have a calling card. You have a way to get your foot in the door, so to speak. You can take your game to trade shows and introduce yourself to publishers. Depending on your goals, you can find a job or find funding for your next project. You can attract a higher level of team members to your team, or you can join another team. And don't forget, the code you use in your first game will be reusable in your second game. So let me repeat, for emphasis, in case you missed it the first time:

Your first step in becoming a game developer is to write a game.

Are you prepared to work alone on your first game, or do you already have some buddies who want to work on it with you? If you are thinking of putting together a team, read on.

Games, on the other hand, must continue to operate regardless of a user's input. The game loop allows this. A highly simplified game loop, in pseudocode, might look something like this:

2. Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. is an American video game developer and publisher founded February 8, 1991, under the name Silicon & Synapse by three graduates of the University of California, Los Angeles, Michael Morhaime, Frank Pearce, and Allen Adham and is currently a subsidiary of American company Activision Blizzard. Based in Irvine, California, the company originally concentrated primarily on the creation of game ports for other studios before beginning development of their own software in 1993 with the development of games like Rock n' Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings. In 1994 the company became Chaos Studios then Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. after being acquired by distributor Davidson & Associates.

Shortly thereafter, Blizzard shipped out what would become their first breakthrough smash hit Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. Blizzard then went on to create several other successful video games, including other Warcraft sequels, the Diablo series, the StarCraft series, and also in 2004 the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. Their most recent projects include: the first expansion for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, the online collectible card game Hearthstone, the fifth expansion for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, the «Hero Brawler» Heroes of the Storm and the third and final expansion for StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. There are two titles that are currently in development: Overwatch, an upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter first announced at BlizzCon on November 7, 2014 that entered beta testing in the third quarter of 2015 and the sixth expansion for World of Warcraft: Legion. It was announced on August 6, 2015 at Gamescom 2015 and will enter beta testing near the end of the year.

On July 9, 2008, Activision officially merged with Vivendi Games, culminating in the inclusion of the Blizzard brand name in the title of the resulting holding company. On July 25, 2013, Activision Blizzard announced the purchase of 429 million shares from owner Vivendi. As a result, Activision Blizzard became an independent company. Blizzard Entertainment offers events to meet players and to announce games: the BlizzCon in California, United States, and the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in other countries, including France, and South Korea.

Blizzard Entertainment was founded by Michael Morhaime, Allen Adham, and Frank Pearce as Silicon & Synapse on February 8, 1991, a year after all three had received their bachelor's degrees from UCLA.[6] In the early days the company focused on creating game ports for other studios. Ports include titles such as J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, Vol. I and Battle Chess II: Chinese Chess. In 1993, the company developed games such as Rock n' Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings (published by Interplay Productions).

In early 1994 they were acquired by distributor Davidson & Associates for $6.75 million. The same year the company briefly changed its name to Chaos Studios, before finally settling on Blizzard Entertainment after it was discovered that another company with the Chaos name already existed. Shortly thereafter, Blizzard shipped their breakthrough hit Warcraft: Orcs & Humans.

2.1 World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft (WoW) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) created in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994. World of Warcraft takes place within the Warcraft world of Azeroth, approximately four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previous Warcraft release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft on September 2, 2001. The game was released on November 23, 2004, on the 10th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise.

With 5.6 million subscribers as of the end of June 2015, World of Warcraft is currently the world's most-subscribed MMORPG, and holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG by subscribers. Having grossed over 10 billion dollars as of July 2012, it is also the highest grossing video game of all time. In January 2014, it was announced that more than 100 million accounts had been created over the game's lifetime.

Plot.

Intent on settling in Durotar, Thrall's Horde expanded its ranks by inviting the undead Forsaken to join orcs, tauren and trolls. Meanwhile, dwarves, gnomes and the ancient night elves pledged their loyalties to the Alliance, guided by the human kingdom of Stormwind. After Stormwind's king, Varian Wrynn, mysteriously disappeared, Highlord Bolvar Fordragon served as Regent but his service was affected by the mind control of the black dragon Onyxia, who ruled in disguise as a human noblewoman. As heroes investigated Onyxia's manipulations, the ancient elemental lord Ragnaros resurfaced to endanger both the Horde and Alliance. The heroes of the Horde and Alliance defeated Onyxia and sent Ragnaros back to the Elemental Plane.

Sale of virtual goods in the real world.

As with other MMORPGs, companies have emerged offering to sell virtual gold and associated services. The practice of amassing gold and in-game items for financial profit is frequently referred to as gold farming.

After Blizzard started offering free trial gameplay accounts, players noticed an increase in spam from bots advertising these services. One study shows that this problem is particularly prevalent on the European realms, with gold being over 14 times more expensive to buy on US realms than their European counterparts

The practice of buying or selling gold in World of Warcraft has generated significant controversy. On February 21, 2008, Blizzard released a statement concerning the consequences of buying gold. Blizzard reported that an «alarmingly high» proportion of all gold bought originates from «hacked» accounts. The article also stated that customers who had paid for character leveling services had found their accounts compromised months later, with all items stripped and sold for virtual gold. The article noted that leveling service companies often used «disruptive hacks ... which can cause realm performance and stability issues»

3. Cyber Sport (E-Sport)

Esports (also known as eSports, e-sports, competitive (video) gaming, electronic sports, or pro-gaming in Korea) can be defined as a form of sports where the primary aspects of the sport are facilitated by electronic systems; the input of players and teams as well as the output of the eSports system are mediated by human-computer interfaces. Most commonly eSports take the form of organized multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players. The most common video game genres associated with electronic sports are real-time strategy, fighting, first-person shooter, and multiplayer online battle arena. Tournaments such as The International Dota 2 Championships, the League of Legends World Championship, the Battle.net World Championship Series, the Evolution Championship Series, the Intel Extreme Masters, provide both live broadcasts of the competition, and cash prizes to competitors.

Although organized online and offline competitions have long been a part of video game culture, participation and spectatorship of such events have seen a large surge in popularity from the late 2000s and early 2010s. While competitions around 2000 were largely between amateurs, the proliferation of professional competitions and growing viewership now supports a significant number of professional players and teams, and many video game developers now build features into their games designed to facilitate such competition.

The genre of fighting games and arcade fighters have also been popular in amateur tournaments, although the fighting game community has often distanced themselves from the eSports label. In 2012, the most popular titles featured in professional competition were the multiplayer online battle arena games Dota 2, League of Legends, and the real time strategy game StarCraft II. Shooting games like Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2,and Call of Duty have enjoyed some success as eSports, although their viewer numbers have remained below those of their competitors.

Geographically, eSports competitions have their roots in Germany (2015) developed countries.[original research?] South Korea has the best established eSports organizations, officially licensing pro gamers since the year 2000.Official recognition of eSports competitions outside South Korea has come somewhat slower. In 2013, Canadian League of Legends player Danny «Shiphtur» Le became the first pro gamer to receive a United States P-1A visa, a category designated for «Internationally Recognized Athletes». Along with South Korea, most competitions take place in Europe, North America and China. Despite its large video game market, eSports in Japan is relatively underdeveloped, which has been attributed largely to its broad anti-gambling laws. In 2014, the largest independent eSports brand, Electronic Sports League, partnered with the local eSports brand Japan Competitive Gaming to try and grow eSports in the country.

In 2013, it was estimated that approximately 71,500,000 people worldwide watched competitive gaming. The increasing availability of online streaming media platforms, particularly Twitch.tv, has become central to the growth and promotion of eSports competitions.

3.1 The International

The International - the first in the discipline Dota 2, and the biggest among others, an annual tournament. Conducted by Valve. For the first time held on GamesCon in 2011. The tournament aims to promote the game Dota 2. Demographically, Major League Gaming has reported viewership that is approximately 85% male and 15% female, with 60% of viewers between the ages of 18 and 34. Related this appreciable male majority, female gamers within the industry are subject to significant sexism and negative stereotypes. Despite this, some women within eSports are hopeful about the general progress in overcoming these problems.

Organizing tournaments. Each tournament involved 16 best teams in the world. Some teams receive direct invitations, others have a chance to get to the tournament through qualification that are held by region: America, Southeast Asia, China and Europe. Winners receive invitations of qualifications, after which the team runners-up can be overcome in the last invitation. After the group stage is determined by the position of teams in the standings. And on the Olympic system held the tournament.

Shield Champions.

Shield champions (Eng. Aegis of Champions) - this Cup, the draw of the tournament. It is a shield made by Weta bronze and silver. On the obverse drawing depicting the struggle between light and dark side. This cup can be used like a shield. The panel is specially made recess in a circle, for easy lifting overhead. Valve Company was set to make a prize worthy winner of such a prestigious tournament

Things you need to know about Dota 2 and the international 2015.

With the The International 2015 (TI5) running all week until, Dota 2 is back in the spotlight. Already, the tournament's Twitch stream has had more than 48 million views, and the tournament's prize pool totals more than $18 million dollars. So, for those who might not be familiar with Dota 2, here are five things you should know about one of the most profitable video games in history.

1. It's played like a sport.

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) made by Valve, the video game company known for classics like Half Life and Portal. Valve runs the Steam Store, which is one of the best-known digital marketplaces for PC video games. In Dota 2, each team of five players chooses individual heroes, and then attempts to level up by defeating non-player characters (NPCs) or other heroes. Once the team is strong enough, they try to attack the opponent's base and destroy their “ancient.” If they succeed, they win. Each team always has 5 players, the game always starts the same way (on opposite sides of the map, separated by a river), and it's always two teams playing against each other. Heroes are chosen based on their attributes, and certain heroes are better suited to fight in certain styles or against certain other heroes. (A lot like drafting players on a per-game basis in any other sport.)

2. It's free!

Like most other MOBAs, Dota 2 is free. This means there's a low barrier to entry, especially taking a look at the minimum system requirements for the game. Consumer-grade computers have made leaps and bounds in recent years, and now even mid-range laptops have the integrated hardware to run games that had top-tier graphics. Of course with the minimum specs--4 GB of RAM, a Intel dual-core processor, and a NVIDIA 8600 GPU--you won't eye-popping detail, but the game will run on your machine. Valve, the game's creator, makes money through micro-transactions--but it's not pay-to-play. Players can buy purely cosmetic gear for their heroes from the Dota 2 Store, or from the Steam Community Marketplace. (Either way, Valve gets a cut of the money.)

3. It's make a lot of money.

Speaking of Valve's profit from all of this, the game company makes about $18 million dollars per month from Dota 2 alone. It's paltry when compared against League of Legends ($123 million dollars/month), but on it's own the game stands as a huge moneymaker for Valve. What's better, is that the $18 million dollar winnings for this year's game doesn't come out of Valve's pocket. TI5's pool is crowdsourced by Dota 2 players, who are buying The International Compendium 2015 (initially priced $9.99) which grants certain in-game treasures, effects and emoticons. Players can then pay more to “level up” their Compendiums, and as more money is raised, overall goals are unlocked for all Compendium owners. They did the same thing last year, garnering $10 million dollars from players.

4. It's super popular.

Dota 2 is the most-played game on Steam. It first peaked at more than 1 million concurrent players in February, and has more than 10 million monthly users. However, it's not the largest game by a longshot. That crown goes to League of Legends (LoL), another MOBA that's been around since 2009. LoL has about 27 million people who play at least one game per day, according to VentureBeat, vastly outstripping Dota 2. It also makes far more money than Dota 2: the company said its income was $123 million per month in January. However, with Valve's backing Dota 2 has become far more lucrative for professional players. The largest payout for a League of Legends tournament was around $2 million dollars, for the World Championships in 2014. TI5's pool has reached $18 million dollars.

5. The prize fund of TI 2015 reached $ 17,000,000!

Just mark the prize fund of the tournament scale Dota 2 this year, which organized the notorious company Valve, The International in 2015, crossed the barrier of $ 17,000,000! Community took only a week to donate one million dollars in prize money.

Despite the lack of new targets in the compendium, The International infusion from the players did not stop for a minute. During the last week of prize money, on average, supplemented by $ 100,000 a day, however, three days after the release of Immortal Treasure Chest III graphics headed down. In general, Valve have achieved everything that had been planned, and even a few more. The final goal is $ 15,000,000 in prize money, the quality of a thing in the Immortal character Axe Axe, as well as comics. Now the Fund has become more than planned by $ 2,000,000 and 962.5% more than the starting amount of The International in 2015.

Interesting fact: The current prize TI is greater than any previous tournament prize from Valve combined.

Most likely, we will not see the figure $ 18,000,000 prize pool in a row, but the tournament will certainly be a spectacular and memorable. We hope that next year more goals Valve prepare for owners compendiums and release all the chests in time. It remains only to wait a week before the start rightfully called the biggest tournament of Dota 2 - The International 2015!

3.2 Tournament history

2011.

Is the first in a series of annual tournaments The International, held by Valve, was held at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne from 17 to 21 August 2011. At this tournament, the game was first introduced to the public. The prize fund amounted to 1.6 million US dollars.

3.3 CS GO (Counter strike Global Offence)

Valve told about International and Source 2 for CS: GO

He finished the tournament at $ 18,000,000 for the Dota 2 community and began to ask questions, and whether this in other games? Will Valve as big and hard to do other eSports discipline.

Valve was the company that employs a multi-faceted approach to the development of their business and their products. Judging by the success of Dota 2 The International, a community of players in the CC expressed their hope that this tournament will be in CS: GO. In addition to Dota 2 introduced a new Source engine 2, which was promised in Counter-Strike. About this and asked journalists IGN Eric Johnson engaged in business development Valve.

Despite all hopes, the interview was quite neutral.

«I do not know when he will (The International - primchitsya. Of Ed.). We are very comfortable feel ourselves taking part in the tournament from other organizations. As a company we certainly know more doing it. If we go in that direction it will be on groping in blindness. You want to quickly diversify bunch of projects, because you can see what that decision, as «we have a thing that works, so let's use it everywhere» - said Johnson IGN.

Though his manner of speaking somewhat ambiguous, it makes it clear that all and will go on, and a major tournament from Valve for CS: GO, and we do not see. Johnson also confirmed the possibility of porting the game to the engine Source 2, but not before it will be fully tested on Dota 2 and goes out of beta testing.

It seems, Valve does not expect that the community CS: GO will be the same amount to spend on eSports and bring them huge profits as Dota 2. It is not entirely clear. For example, according to the vice-president of ESL, ESL in the company of only a sticker with the tournament in Cologne in 2015 earned - $ 1.5 million. And if we add to this money cybersport's profit organizations (Navi, Envy, NPCs, etc.) and add on interest income themselves Valve, it turns out quite a large sum of revenue alone stickers!

Generally it seems to The International and Source 2 for CS: GO as soon as you can not wait ...

3.4 The richest of the world Cyber sportsman

Do You want to know how successful Dota 2 and the dynamics of its development? Which organization has earned the most money? How are the means of the countries? Which players Dota 2 became the richest competitive players?

Since the prize fund The International grows every year, and two-time champion of the tournament has not yet managed to become anyone, the list of the richest competitive players of the world is changing from year to year. This is a clear indicator of how big the contribution is made by Valve tournaments not only in professional Dota 2 scene but also in the whole eSports industry. The fact that the vast majority of the hundreds of the richest professional players in the world consists of Daughtery, illustrates how Dota 2 is developed in monetary terms in relation to other disciplines.

Now, more than eighteen million dollars has recently been played between 16 teams, and the lion's share of this amount ($ 6,616,014) went to the champions The International 5 - US, United States, US Evil Geniuses. Due to this victory, each of the players of the American team was enriched by approximately $ 1,326,000. This money, along with the means that EG won the championship in the Chinese Dota 2 Asia Championships and other competitions, enough to shift from the pedestal of all, except one, the last Champions The International. The youngest member of the composition of the «evil genius» did not have just a couple of dozen thousand dollars to join their current team-mates in the top five richest players in the world - a young millionaire and prodigy from Pakistan ousted former leader of China, China, CN Newbee, China, China, CN Zhang «xiao8» Ning, which is 5 The International has earned about 440 thousand dollars, took third place in the China, China, CN LGD. Headed rating offleyner Evil Geniuses, US, United States, US Saahil «UNiVeRsE» Arora.

The richest player in the CIS today is Ukraine, Ukraine, UA Danil «Dendi» Ishutin, justified only by 24 of the list: for his entire career Dendi won a little more than six hundred thousand dollars. A little less money earned Alexander Dashkevich, better known under the pseudonym of Ukraine, Ukraine, UA XBOCT.

The distribution of the prize of the countries is far ahead China - the team from this region always take top places in international competitions, it is not surprising that the Chinese players ahead of the rest of the amount won in prize money.

.

The most successful team is Evil Geniuses - about ten million dollars earned in the discipline of the club Dota 2. Almost half has won the prize organization Newbee. In ten richest teams were 2 team from the CIS - Russia, Russia, RU Virtus.pro & Ukraine, Ukraine, UA Natus Vincere.

By the way, 50% of the prize money (a little more than twenty-five million dollars from 84 tournaments) earned by the teams in the tournament for Dota 2 in the history of the game, refer to the 2015.

Sixteen and a half million dollars (33% of the total), with 107 tournaments have been paid in the past year. Four times less than the sum was played in 2013.

Here's what a list of the largest (by the standards of the prize pool) Dota 2 tournament:

The International does not cease to raise the bar of eSports. Each year the prize fund of the tournament is growing rapidly, and this year has already reached $ 18,416,970! Who could believe such figures, even two or three years ago? Now it is a reality. And in the list of top 100 richest competitive players - 60 representatives of Dota 2. Moreover, the first top-30 list - the only players Dota 2!

4. Practical part

I gave the students a list of different issues and there were questions about the games and the opinion as a whole.

Many despite his age were playing games. But after the Soviet Union fell apart in our country we began to carry the new technology, and so our country began to use computers and other equipment. after 2005 except for standard desktop and street games, many began to play computer games that have video game Sega, (SEGA), PS (play station), hand-held consoles and others.

There have been here are the questions:

1. How old are you?

As mentioned in the first question now many people of age 30 to young toddler. That is my answer to the question CASE 20 people forms 40% 17 years 35% 18 years 10% 20 years 15% 21 years.

2. How do you feel about the video game or other games at all?

A) I love 80%

B) a neutral 15%

C) A waste of time 5%

The second question many 80% of people said that they love the game and they like to spend time with the game, or with your friends and family. Now it is not surprising toddler playing video games.

Тhe second version of 20% people are indifferent as the game apparently. but I think that they are one of those people who play games are not within the meaning of, and for that would pass the time.

And the third option is 5% and the same people who have recognized it. Such people even poking around in their smart phones playing games, or even important not acceptable places.

3. Do you play video games?

* Yes 100%

* No 0%

Games are very interesting and uplifting, it is not surprising that 100% of people chose the first. It would be strange that someone said that he was indifferent to the game.

4. How often do you play video games?

* Every day - more than 4 hours per day 65%

* Every day - less than 4 hours per day 20%

* 1-3 times a week 10%

* 1-3 times per month 5%

* Other __________________________ 0%

Currently, there are very interesting and different types of games and genres, and it is not surprising that young people began to be attracted to games, even some become dependent. 65% of people admitted that they are stuck in games. The rest seems to take time for real life and family.

5. Do You think that video games have a great future,

and that this is the beginning of something really new in human culture?

A) absolutely agree 55%

B) tend to agree 35%

C) rather disagree 0%

D) strongly disagree 0%

F) don't know 5%

Now the game win young hearts and distributed worldwide. And we believe that the classic games transmitted generation to generation and varied and there are others. it has become part of the cultural value of the entire nation. and we must admit that the modern game industry is very advanced and can even become a big part of the sport, or it may be a part of olympiad. For example, Malaysia passed a law to take training video games in school curricula. As you can see most of the 55% of people admit it.

6. You play:

* PC 60% * Console 40%

o Xbox 20%

o PS 20%

o Nintendo GameCube 0%

o handheld console 0%

Large manufacturers of video game consoles. Playstation and x-box and become leaders. and those 10 years, they have to please the players for their achievements. and then 40% of people chose consoles. 20% x-box and 20% Playstation. and 60% PC of gamers.

7. What genre of games do you prefer? (multiple)

* Strategy 10% * RPG 30%

* Shooter / Action 15% * Racing 5%

* Arcade 0% * Fighting 5%

* Sport Simulators 0% * Quest 0%

* Logic Games 0% *MMORPG 35%

*Other _________0%________

All players are different tastes and preferences. Here people prefer 30% RPG, and 35% MMORPG Games of the current popular genre. There used to be a racing game, there are now 10% of the fans. and popular Shooter strategy and they create a compelling cost 15-10%.

8. Do you prefer:

* Multiplayer games 55%

* Singleplayer games 45%

The game has its own peculiarities. Many such in singles played 145% of the players for the storylines of the game and how the name itself said for the passage itself. and there are games that you can play with your friends and other players. This will help seal the friendship and help to learn how to work in a team and or vice versa. It selected 65% of the players.

9. Do you have a favorite game?

DotA 2 35% CS GO 40% FIFA 15,16 10% UFC 5% WoW 5% GoW 5%

Like everyone has their own tastes, and everyone has their favorite games such as Tetris used to be and the similar. here many play the game in which pay much attention. 35% chose DotA 2 (Defence of the Ancients) because of their popularity and many professional's tournaments with high prize pools. and CS GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) too. But the difference is that the DotA 2 is a strategy RPG, CS GO is a shooter. Since there are many football fans, and it can be expected that there is a football game. their players and not too few of them is 10%. Players fight fans MMA UFC makes them popular 5%.. Popular game about tanks have also become popular and aircraft are full of spam and advertisements in different sites on the 5%.

10. The more often you buy:

* Licensed Products 5%

* pirated goods 95%

The CIS countries, few people bought the game. it is not surprising that 95% chose that rocked the game with pirate sites.

11. How do you follow when buying a video game? (multiple)

* Reviews of other people 80%

* Description of the game on the cover, in magazines 20%

* Council Seller

* Other ___________

As we have said the players want to play games, which many people play because they are popular. And even want played in online mode in the network. Therefore play Mongo fans are not shopping as before. thereby reducing the number of people who consult with the purchase in stores. Now people download from pirate sites or buy game partale.

Conclusion

Now many people play video games. Despite his age. Of course the people of 70 might not be playing, but those who grew up in a dandy and Sega 90% I can confidently say that they play video games. but there are people who earn it Celle state and no more. For example under the name «Pewdiepie» Swede named Felix Helberg from 2014 to 2015 earned on youtube 24-30 million dollar.

Of course people from the CIS, many players downloaded from torrent sites pirated games without a license. Above this struggling country, because in this state, citizens violate copyright creators. The video games do tournaments million to 15 million dollars. And in some countries, such as Malaysia has included in its educational centers lesson about eSports. We are looking at it we can confidently say that the video games can bring many benefits to humanity, and vice versa, and can become one of the traditions of uniformity.

American scientists have shown that video games that require movement to perform the music, improve the coordination of movements in patients with multiple sclerosis.

We started to treat people for cancer and other diseases with the help of video games.

For example was boy who suffered brain cancer was told that if he wakes up to win games, that if he would kill the monsters in the game, those monsters disease in the brain. Of course the game was easy and was happy that the boy winning cured and eventually recovered.

Of course, there are downsides that people do the crime, do suicides and frightened horror playing games there were heart attacks. What is perfect?

In this project, I meant that can inspire and help to forget something bad, or distracted, relieve stress, etc. What the creators of the game have put all of myself and it's not just one person. Team of people want that we were happy. All this is not to put into words, but I can tell you exactly if what you love to ask for what you so love it (or her)? we would not have enough words to convey the same emotions that you experience and feel to reach his heart. So here it is difficult to convey all this through the keyboard.

Love what you love and help those who-wants to love what you love.

Improve.
