Investigation of a fragment of jewelry placed on the front of the helmets of the so-called "Wielkopolska" type. Study of geographical origin, evolution of helmet constructions. Analysis of the front design of helmets in the form of a decorative tiara.

However, is it possible that those latest decorative diadems in trident form became some sort of representation of the battle tactics of Slavic tribes, as it was proposed by A. N. Kirpichnikov? Basing on presented study we can answer that no, or it is extremely unlikely. Clearly we are dealing with an long evolution of decorative element which, at least at the very beginning, had no relation with the Slavic tribes.
