Summary

The article deals with he peculiarities of the concept of justice in the image of Khosrow I as a traditional historical character. It is emphasized that for a complete analysis of a historical character, i.e. a historical person whose image has been repeatedly interpreted in a certain national literature, it is necessary to know not only the standard scheme of character analysis, but also to be oriented in the biography of the chosen hero, to analyze historical events and contexts that influenced perception of the image, both by ordinary people and historians-biographers. Khosrow I Anushirvan is considered the most outstanding ruler of the Sassanid state from the dynasty of the same name. During his reign, many reforms were implemented that made Iran more politically and economically stable than at any time in its history. Power is almost completely centralized around the shahinshah, at the same time, at the local level, state management is unified through the introduction of a new administrativeterritorial division. His patronage of science and literature gave him considerable popularity among the peoples of Iran and its neighbors.

The teachings of Zoroastrianism glorified justice as the most important human virtue, which made it so important for the Persian mentality. Avesta fixed the concept of justice in the image of the main creator god Aguramazd. Avesta records heroes and kings who became famous for their righteous deeds and wise words. As for honesty, justice, valor, these moral qualities had a name and a significant meaning even before the promulgation of the canons of Zoroastrianism. It is also important to note that Khosrow himself was a Zoroastrian, so he followed the traditions of his religion and believed in the victory of good and justice, trying to do everything that was in his strength.

Firdousi perceives and describes Khosrov as a kind king, fair to the common people, admires the figure of Anushirvan, using various stylistic techniques to describe the youth, wisdom, valor, justice of Khosrov I. Some bias is possible in his tests, because "Shah-name" is a book, which is primarily intended to glorify the activities of kings, and secondarily to describe historical events in an artistic context.
