Введение

Цель урока - приобщение учащихся к культурной жизни средствами кино и театра.

Задачи:

Учебная: активизировать тематическую лексику в устной речи учащихся в диалогической и монологической форме в процессе развития иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции учащихся;

Образовательная: расширить знания учащихся о кино и театрах;

Развивающая: развивать способности к логическому изложению, к догадке, развивать способность осуществлять продуктивные и репродуктивные речевые действия, развивать коммуникабельность;

Воспитательная: воспитывать культуру человека посредством кино и театра.

Ход урока

Организационный момент.

- Good morning, my dear boys and girls. (Good morning)

- I`m glad to see you here. (We are glad to see you, too.)

- And now it`s time to start our lesson. The topic of our discussion today is theatre and cinema. You know that theatre and cinema are means of cultural education of people. At the end of the lesson I want you to tell me how theatre and cinema influence on our mind.

- Now I'd like you to train some sounds and words:

the sound [ ] - think, I think, theatre

the sound [ ] - ballet, backstage, actor, dramatist, matinee

the sound [ ] - audience

the sound [ ] - opera, operetta, curtain drops

Now let`s speak about theatres and cinemas. You have to complete the sentences using the parts of the table:

• You know that theatre was born in ancient times. Who can tell me what country was theatre born and who was the first actor?

P1: The first theatrical performances took place in ancient Greece. The Greek drama developed from hymns to Dionysius. The first known actor was Thespis. He was the first actor who could not only sing songs but he could make a dialogue with actors.

• You are absolutely right. And what do you think is theatre a popular art nowadays?

- Now let's speak about theatre to each other. The boys will speak the dialogue and all of you listen to the dialogue and point the mistakes.

P1:Do you often go to the theatre?

P2: Yes, I do. I'm a theatre-lover.

P3: I don't go to the theatre very often. I can't say that I am a theatre-goer.

P1: What is your favourite theatre?

P2: My favourite theatre is the Bolshoi Theatre, which is world-famous for its ballet and opera.

P3: I like to visit drama theatres such as the Maly Theatre, Moscow Art Theatre, etc...

P1: Do you prefer matinees or evening performances? Where do you like to have seats?

P2: I prefer evening performances which start at 7 o'clock. I Like to seat in the fifth row.

P3: I usually have seats in the stalls or in the balcony.

P1: Are seats in the balcony much cheaper than those in the stalls? P1: Do you prefer to buy the tickets in advance or right before the performance?

P2: Yes, they are.

P3: They are much cheaper but less convenient.

P2: I usually buy the tickets at the box-office or at the theatre agency five days in advance.

P3: I buy the tickets right before the performance.

P1: What play did you see last?

P2: The play I saw was based on a novel by a well-known Russian writer N.V.Gogol. It's “Revizor”

P3: It was “Revizor” at Maly Theatre.

P1: How did you like the play?

P2: I liked it.

P3: I think it was a waste of time.

P1: Was the acting good?

P2: The acting was excellent

P3: Not bad.

• - All right. What mistakes were there in the boy's speeches?

• OK.Just now we'll speak about the cinema. Tell me, please, if the cinema younger or older than theatre?

P1: As far as I know cinema is much younger than theatre. It was born at the end of the 19th century. The first people who showed the first movies were the Lumiere Brothers of France. The first films showed moving people and newsreels. But only at the beginning of 20th century Warner Brothers in Hollywood made the first film in which an actor sang and spoke.

• Thanks for your information. I know Zhenja that you are the biggest cinema-goer in the class. Why do you like to go to the cinema? All the rest listen to Zhenja and mark the mistakes in his speech.

P: I'm the cinema-goer because…

• Thank you very much. Now I want you to guess what style is the film. Look at the blackboard and write correct numbers near the words.
