Paroemia-semantic mapping of the gentlemanship construct (based on a comparative analysis of paremiological funds of english and japanese)
The paper is devoted to the paroemia-semantic mapping and comparative and collation analysis of the representation of components of the Gentlemenship construct in the system of ethnical marked proverbs of the paremiological funds of Japanese and British linguistic societies. Some conclusions are drawn about the similarities and differences in the associative branching of this feature of national identity. Based on the method of mental mapping, the paremiological projection of the gentlemanship is visualized in the form of an expanded mental map, which takes into account the totality of the shades of meaning of its realization in the static linguistic layer.
