This article deals with the theme of linguistic purism in the Persian language and the problem of writing literary texts without foreign language borrowings, examines the surviving written monuments of pure Persian language of the 11th - 20th centuries. and the motives that prompted the authors of similar works in their works to abandon Arabisms. In conclusion, a generalized description is given of the place and role of the purist process in Iran over the past centuries. The material of the study was mainly the work of foreign authors, not introduced into the Russian-language scientific circulation.
