Political discourse in the PRC is considered in terms of involvement of language means which reflect social, political, and cultural features of the region and formation of the political image of the state. The Chinese cultural environment, its characteristics and historical memory influence the political language, the components which are traditional for Chinese political culture and are an integral part of the modern image of the state. The article also emphasizes the leading role of Confucian values, which are organically involved into the modern political process and adapted to the realities of modernizing China.
