Введение

Тема моей исследовательской работы - «Королевская семья Англии». Основная причина моей заинтересованности этой темой - малое количество информации в школьных учебниках. Я изучаю английский язык со 2 класса. Мы работаем по учебнику «FORWAD». На уроках мы изучали о некоторых представителях этой семьи (Елизавета I). Поскольку мне очень нравится английский язык, я хочу как можно больше знать об этой стране. Считаю, что Объединенное Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии является уникальным государством в современном мире, так как там до сих пор сохранился монарх.

Цель работы - собрать наиболее интересные факты из жизни представителей Королевской семьи нашего времени и обобщить полученную информацию в единую работу.

Задача:

* Ознакомиться с имеющийся информацией по этой теме в литературе (как на русском, так и на английском языке) и в Интернете;

Для достижения данной цели я использовал информационный поиск сведений.

Объект исследования отдельные представители Королевской семьи. Причем, я решил остановится на менее популярных и известных.

Предмет исследования - традиции, историческое прошлое, родственные связи.

1.1 Великобритания: Королевская семья

Despite the fact that in England there is no strict definition (neither legal nor formal) of the members of the monarch's family, nevertheless, as a rule, the following persons are considered to be: the monarch himself (king and queen), the queen's spouse (if he is not a king ), children of the monarch and their spouses, children of the sons of the monarch (i.e. grandchildren in the male line) and their wives (husbands). The King and Queen of Great Britain bear the title of Her (His) Royal Majesty, and the rest of the family - Their Royal Highnesses. They are considered princes and princesses. In the old days, each of the members of the monarchical family represented the king (queen) throughout the country, holding responsible government posts. The transition to a constitutional monarchy has changed a lot in the kingdom of Great Britain: the royal family has lost many of its powers, and today its members perform only social and ceremonial functions both within the kingdom and abroad. The same applies to the role of the queen in the affairs of the state. The country is governed by a cabinet of ministers, which is responsible to parliament.

Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain

The current reigning Queen Elizabeth II is the daughter of King George VI and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, whom we all know as Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The British Queen had a sister, Princess Margaret, but she died of a stroke in 2002.

As a child, little Lilibet (as Elizabeth was called at home) did not even think about the throne, since her uncle Edward was to take the throne. However, he gave up his title in order to marry a twice-divorced woman. Then the father of Elizabeth II, George VI, became king, but died 16 years later. As a result, a 25-year-old girl ascended the throne. Today, Elizabeth II is the longest-reigning monarch in British history - in 2017, it was 65 years since her coronation.

Prince Philip, husband of the Queen

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is a descendant of the Greek king. At the time of his acquaintance with Elizabeth, he was the Prince of Greece and Denmark. After the murder of his grandfather and the overthrow of his uncle from the throne, Philip and his parents fled from Greece, later arrived in London to relatives. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II are fourth cousins, descendants of Queen Victoria. The future spouses met at one of the social events, during the war they actively corresponded, and then the stubborn Lilibet was able to persuade the family to approve the marriage with her beloved.

Charles, Prince of Wales is the firstborn of the Queen and Prince Philip. He is currently first in line for the throne. His first wife is Lady Diana Spencer (the wedding was played in 1981). The marriage was unhappy, although two children were born in it. In 1996, at the insistence of the Queen, a divorce was filed, although the couple separated in 1992. In 1997, Lady Dee was killed in a car accident. In 2005, when the children were already grown up, Prince Charles married his longtime mistress Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The acquaintance of Prince Charles with Camilla Parker-Bowles happened back in the 70s of the last century. A romance broke out between the young people, but Queen Elizabeth II was against their wedding, she decided to find a wife for her first child herself. The reason for the disapproval of the mother was the windy nature of Camilla. She, in turn, married Andrew Parker-Bowles, but her feelings for the heir to the throne did not cool down, and after 10 years they resumed their relationship. After the divorce of Prince Charles from Diana and her tragic death, Camilla agreed to get married only in 2005, but out of respect for her ex-wife, her husband refused the title of Princess of Wales, therefore she bears the title of Duchess of Cornwall. Charles and Camilla do not have common children, however, she has children from her first marriage - Tom and Laura, they are not members of the royal family.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge is the firstborn of Prince Charles and Lady Dee. He loved his mother very much and was extremely attached to her. He experienced the divorce of his parents and her death so hard that he even had to hire a psychotherapist specifically for the boy. Prince William graduated from Eton College and the University of St. Andrews, where he met his future wife, Kate Middleton. They got married in 2011 and now have two children.

Catherine (popularly Kate), or the Duchess of Cambridge, became the wife of Prince William in 2011, before that they met for about 10 years. The girl's parents are middle-class people who made a fortune thanks to their company "Party Pieces", which made them millionaires. Kate also has a sister, Philippa, and a brother, James. Katherine and William have a son and a daughter, however, replenishment is expected in their family soon - another baby is due in 2018.

Prince George of Cambridge was born in 2013, and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge in 2015. Despite their young age, the children of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have already taken positions in the rankings of the most influential people in the UK several times. Both babies are listed in the succession to the throne - George is third, and Charlotte is fourth.

Prince Henry of Wales, or simply Prince Harry, is the younger brother of Prince William, the second son of Lady Dee and Prince Charles. Born in 1984, devoted his adult life to serving in the army, in 2011 he was awarded the rank of captain of the Army Air Corps. Prince Harry has a rich list of girls with whom he had a romantic relationship, however, in 2016 he seriously began to court American actress Meghan Markle, in the fall of 2017 they announced their engagement.

2.2 Принцесса Анна

The Queen of Great Britain and Prince Philip have only one daughter - Princess Anne, who has the title of Princess Royal. Just like her mother, Princess Anne has had a great love for equestrian sports since childhood. She participated in many competitions, including the Olympic Games in 1976.

Princess Anne's first marriage was to Mark Phillips, a captain in the Royal Army, however, they divorced in 1992. During their marriage, they had two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Phillips. As mentioned above, they are not accepted as members of the British royal family.

The second spouse of Princess Anne was Timothy Lawrence - an employee of the British Navy, he also does not belong to the members of the royal family.She tries to lead an ordinary life, works at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in London, where she organizes various events and special projects.

2.3 Принц Эндрю и его семья

Prince Andrew, or the Duke of York, is the third child of the reigning Queen and Prince Philip, and he is also sixth in line to the throne. Andrew married in 1986 to Sarah Ferguson. In 1996, they divorced, so Sarah could no longer be considered a member of the royal family. During their marriage, they had two children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Beatrice, Princess of York is the first child of Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah. A girl was born on a very beautiful date 08/08/1988 at 8 pm 18 minutes. She is seventh in line to the British throne. At the age of 19, like all members of the royal family, she was required to gain work experience, and was hired as a VIP client consultant at Selfridges department store. The girl also has experience in acting. Eugenie, Princess of York is the second daughter of Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah. A girl with an attractive appearance is an enviable bride of Great Britain. Prince Edward, Earl of is Uesskiy the youngest son of the reigning Queen and Prince Philip. He created the television company Ardent Productions and worked there for a long time. In this company, he also met his future wife, Sophie Rhys-Jones, the wedding took place in 1999. The couple has two children, Louise and James. Sophie, Countess of Uesskaya has been married to Prince Edward since 1999. She started her career in public relations and now supports her husband in royal affairs. Lady Louise Windsor, born in 2003, and James Windsor, Viscount Severn, born in 2007, do not have the titles of princess and prince, as their parents wished so. By the consent of the queen, they are titled as children of an earl, not a prince.

Работая над этой темой, я открыл для себя самую знаменитую семью на свете с другой стороны. Я считаю несправедливым то, что многие члены королевской семьи остаются в тени. Данная работа позволила мне узнать множество уникальных фактов как о самой семье, так и о стране, в которой они живут. Работа представляет методическую ценность для преподавателя английского языка при изучении Объединенного Королевства.
