Notes on the use of some terms in teaching gymnastics

In recent years, effective work has been carried out in our country to further develop physical culture and sports, solve scientific, theoretical and practical problems of specialists in this field, and train mature specialists. Especially after the status of the state language was given to the Uzbek language in 1989, such issues as the creation of popular science, educational literature, textbooks in the field of physical culture became relevant. The insufficient development of the terms of physical culture in the Uzbek language has a negative impact on the further development of the industry. Gymnastics is a universal tool that solves many problems. Thanks to his exercises, such tasks as the development of physical qualities, the formation of a correct figure, health promotion, training of willpower, learning to skilfully and easily perform movements are successfully solved. Every teacher dream of taking a deep place in the hearts of students by making gymnastics lessons interesting and meaningful. This requires high qualifications from teachers, the use of a large amount of funds in the passage of all parts of the lesson, strict adherence to the methods of organizing and conducting lessons.
It's no secret that some teachers use the same tools in gymnastics classes without applying effective teaching methods in time, which causes students to get bored. This may cause some students to lose interest in gymnastics and reduce the effectiveness of the class. In the effective solution of these problems, the effective use of advanced pedagogical technologies, the working methods of experienced teachers, and the correct use of gymnastic terms are extremely important.
The effective use of gymnastic terms plays a very important role in physical education, including when conducting gymnastics classes, where many exercises are used. The use of terms in physical education classes facilitates the interaction between teachers and students, helps to simplify the definition of gymnastic exercises when publishing gymnastic literature. Gymnastics terms are also widely used in sports other than gymnastics. Without knowing the exact name of gymnastics, learning it is a difficult process. Therefore, the meaning of terms in the process of their learning is very high. Short-term words have a great influence on the formation of motor skills. According to research scientists working in this field, this helps trainees prepare for the exercises, and also allows the training process to be more concise and purposeful.
Gymnastic terminology is a composition of special names (terms) used to briefly express the names of gymnastic exercises, general concepts, gymnastic means, equipment, as well as the rules for constructing and using conditional (marked) abbreviations, forms of writing exercises [1-4].
The term as a section of vocabulary is closely related to the content, theory and practice of this science. In gymnastics, a term is a short conventional name for an action or concept. As in other areas, the term gymnastics will improve along with the development of physical education, because whatever innovations appear in practice and science, they are inevitably reflected in the language, enriching it. In general education schools, gymnastics classes are held in a specially equipped gym or in an open gym. The equipment should be placed on the field in such a way that the groups involved in the lesson do not interfere with each other. That is, it is necessary to take into account the places where students will stand in a common line, general developmental exercises, rhythmic gymnastics exercises, games and relay races. When applying the terms gymnastics to students of general education schools, the age and skill of the participants should be taken into account. For example, when conducting morning hygienic gymnastics and other types of health-improving gymnastics, not only the basic terms of general developmental exercises are used, but they are also supplemented with words from the literary language of the people. Beginners in gymnastics should learn the terms as well as the exercises. For well-trained gymnasts, acrobats, physical education teachers, sports coaches, the term remains a separate special language. The name of an exercise usually consists of a main term that expresses its essence, and an additional term that defines the movement and its sequence. When necessary, exclamatory words are used to emphasize the expressiveness of the speech. There are a few rules to follow when using gymnastics terms. These include requirements for comprehensibility, clarity and conciseness. Gymnastics terms are accepted as terms only if they meet these requirements. In order to make the description shorter, it is customary in gymnastics not to indicate many situations, movements or the names of their exercises, i.e., abbreviation rules are used. When conducting gymnastics, general developmental and free exercises, exercises with a rope, exercises on technique, acrobatic exercises, rhythmic gymnastics exercises are widely used. In conclusion, we can say that in gymnastics lessons in secondary schools it is advisable to teach students the correct terms of gymnastics, and use these terms if students are given extensive information about the nature of the exercises and their performance.
