Kravets M. Poetical peculiarities of the catastrophe representation in atomic bomb literature and nuclear, or post-Fukushima, literature
The article considers the general features of the poetics of the catastrophes representation in key works of Japanese literature on the atomic bomb literature and nuclear literature. The conditions and goals of writing literary works after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as the triple catastrophe that resulted in the explosion at the Fukushima-I nuclear power plant are analyzed. Approaches to the choice of pictorial means are also studied. As a result, the tendency of the works of atomic bomb literature to documentaries, diaries and realistic depictions of reality is attested. The authors do not avoid words describing or nominating the catastrophe, partly based on the materials of publications in the media. Depending on the generation, the authors 1) described the extent of the damage and human casualties; 2) criticized the social problems that arose in Japanese society as a result of the bombing; 3) used the topic of the nuclear threat to form anti-war rhetoric, while post-Fukushima literature is marked by bibliotherapeutic purposes. A number of authors have created their creative works, aiming to heal their readers, leaving the memory of the events of March 11 out of the text. Remakes, renditions of one's own early works are actively created, or classical plots and recognizable images are used to strengthen ties with the reader's familiar past. Nuclear literature is considered as a part of eco-criticism. It is concluded that the topics in the literature on the atomic bomb and the artistic means used by the authors are largely dictated by the lack of sufficient information about the nature of nukes, the effects of radiation, and so on. On the other hand, post-Fukushima literature, created in the era of social networks and instant news, aimed at reducing the tension created by the information field. In contrast to the anti-war slogans of atomic bomb literature, nuclear post-Fukushima literature can be considered in the discourse of eco-criticism.
