Abstract
Square Lead-Rubber Bearings with Four Lead Plugs has a small reduction ratio of yield stress of lead core plug and is good in performance, but takes much time for analysis. Therefore, in this paper the authors, we simplify square Lead-Rubber Bearings with four lead plugs to round Lead-Rubber Bearings with one lead plugs and shorten the analysis time.

УПРОЩЕНИЕ АНАЛИЗА ТЕРМОМЕХАНИЧЕСКОГО СЦЕПНОГО ПОВЕДЕНИЯ ДЛЯ КВАДРАТНЫХ СВИНЦОВО-РЕЗИНОВЫХ ПОДШИПНИКОВ С ЧЕТЫРЬМЯ СВИНЦОВЫМИ ЗАГЛУШКАМИ

Абстракт. Квадратные свинцово-резиновые подшипники с четырьмя свинцовыми заглушками имеют небольшой коэффициент снижения предела текучести заглушки свинцового сердечника и имеют хорошие рабочие характеристики, но требуют много времени для анализа. Поэтому в данной статье авторы упрощают квадратные свинцово-резиновые подшипники с четырьмя свинцовыми заглушками для округления свинцово-резиновых подшипников с одним свинцовыми заглушками и сокращают время анализа.
Ключевые слова: сейсмоизоляция, квадратные свинцово-резиновые подшипники с четырьмя свинцовыми заглушками, термомеханическое сцепное поведение, упрощение, сокращение времени анализа.
Introduction
Compared to round Lead-Rubber Bearings with one lead plugs (hereafter referred to as “Round-1-LRB”), square Lead-Rubber Bearings with four lead plugs (hereafter referred to as “Square-4-LRB”) is known that it has smaller decrease rate of yield stress of LRB, when the long-period and long-duration seismic motion is happened.1) However, when doing simulation analysis, it takes a lot of time to analyze. Because the analysis is required in three dimensions. The analysis of Round-1-LRB is required in two dimensions, so it requires less analysis time. Therefore, in this paper we simplify Square-4-LRB to Round-1-LRB and shorten the analysis time.
Main material
Analysis method
Figure 1 shows the flowchart of thermal-mechanical coupled analysis used in this paper. Figure 2 shows the analysis range of Square-4-LRB and Round-1-LRB. Due to symmetry, the part surrounded by the red line in Figure 2 may be analyzed. As shown in Figure 2, Round-1-LRB is only analyzed one two-dimensional surface, but Square-4- LRB needs to be analyzed in three dimensions. Figure 3 shows the thermal conduction analysis model used for Square-4-LRB.
Approximation as shown in Figure 4 is performed as a simplification method of Round-1-LRB from Square-4-LRB. Square-4-LRB is divided into four, approximated to Square-1-LRB so that the cross sectional area becomes 1/4, and approximate to Round- 1-LRB without changing cross sectional area.

Analysis model and test condition
We conducted simulation analysis of a single mass model using Open Sees2). The restoring force model is a modified bilinear model, and the mechanical model is a MSS model. The study model is shown in Table 1. The input wave is a sinusoidal excitation that is vibrating 100 cycles with a period of 3 seconds at a shear strain of 200%. The number of analysis steps is 30001.

Analysis result and consideration
The comparison of the load-deformation relationship of the sinusoidal excitation of the study models is shown in Figure 5, the change in the intercept load of the load- deformation relationship is shown in Figure 6, the change in the maximum temperature of the lead plug is shown in Figure 7, and the change in the outer edge temperature of the laminated rubber is shown in Figure 8. The load values of Square-1-LRB and Round-1- LRB are multiplied by 4.

It can be said that the load-deformation relationship of the study model is almost consistent from the graph of intercept load change. The maximum temperature change of the lead plug also almost match. Earthquake response analysis, bidirectional loading and another examination model were also verified, and the load-deformation relationship and temperature change almost match. As shown in Figure 8, in the range of the actual analysis, the heat generated by the lead plug reaches the outer edge and does not rise greatly. For this reason, it can be said that Square-4-LRB is approximated to Round-1-LRB and simplified and analyzed.
Table 2 shows the time taken for analysis. The analysis time varies depending on the performance of the PC, the number of analysis steps, and the number of element divisions. The figures after the decimal point of the analysis time are rounded off.

Conclusion
Analysis time could be shortened to about 1/27 times by simplifying Square-4- LRB into 4 pieces and become Round-1-LRB. From now on we recommend analyzing in this way.
