The increase in metabolic processes in the cows bodies and the improvement in the fodder nutritient assimilation due to the supplementary addition of microelements -- lead antagonists (in the form of metionates) in combination with vitamin E was promoted an increase in the production of milk (daily average milk yield of natural fat concentration grew by 6.3 -11.7, general milk yield by 7.6 -14.1 per lactation, the percentage of milk fat by 14.0 -22.1 per cent).

The results of the veterinary-sanitary examination of milk, received from the cows under the examination showed, that the introduction of iron and copper metionates in combination with vitamin E, promoted the milk density by 1.08 - 3 A, dry substance by 0.48 - 0.85 per cent, fat by 0.22 - 0.26 per cent, general protein by 0.23- 0.33, casein - by 0.26 per cent.

The milk received from the groups of cows under the examination, especially Group IV, displayed better organoleptic indexes (taste, smell, colour, consistence) and corresponded to the highest quality grade according to DSTU 3662-97 (State Quality Standard) "COW MILK SKIMMED". The contens of iron in milk grew by 18.4 -28.9, copper by 23.6 -26.4, and at the same time the level of lead lowered by 14.0 -22.1 per cent, and this milk as food for people at all ages can be used without any limitations. The recommendations were worked out as to the usage of metionates as fodder supplement for cows during the lactation period in the areas that are under severe technogenic pressure.

The optimal doses of iron, copper mationates and vitamin E were set to increase the metabolic processes in the cows bodies, improve milk productivity and veterinary-sanitary milk - quality index and promote the decrease of the level of lead both in the blood and milk of cows.

Key words: Veterinary-sanitary examination, microelements, chronic intoxication, lead, copper, iron, antagonism, metionin, chelate, vitamin E, quality, productivity, cow milk.
