Виховання учнів основної і старшої школи засобами фольклористично-етнографічної діяльності

The artistic-practical activity is related to the sphere of the traditional material culture. Pupils assimilate the artistic crafts and the elements of the decorative-applied art. The methodology of bringing up the pupils by means of folkloristic and ethnographic activity has been approved and developed. This goal-directed activity stimulates the derivative education of the pupils of secondary and high schools and provides their ethnization.

The criterions of maturity by means of folkloristic and ethnographic activity are suggested:

1. Fluency in the Ukrainian language. The indicators of this criterion are the language of interpersonal communication, progress in studying proper subjects, the availability of the Ukrainian language of scientific and artistic reflection.

2. Engagement of the traditional ethnic culture - knowledge, a deep respect to it, assimilating of its best achievements. The indicators of this criterion are the assimilation of ethnic traditions, folk art (ethnic music, decorative-applied art, folk legacy), becoming familiar with the holidays, display of patriotic feelings, peculiarities of the motherland culture, especially realization of themselves as the heirs of the national and ethnic culture, presence of such personal qualities as diligence, responsibility, charity, tolerance to other people, respect and love to parents and family.

3. Active and keen schoolchildren's attitude to folkloristic and ethnographic activity. The indicators of this criterion are the ability to self-education, achieving own objects, developing talents. The results of this are real achievements, the success in realization of the creative abilities that is participating and triumphs in contests in the Ukrainian language, in ethnic and cultural events and festivals of different levels.

The levels of maturity by means of folkloristic and ethnographic activity (high, medium, low) have been determined. The effectiveness of influence of the folk-ethnic pedagogical activity on the comprehensive education of the pupils of secondary and high schools was proved during the experiment.

The key words: education, bringing up; folkloristic and ethnographic activity; ethnic and cultural centre; traditional ethnic culture; expeditional, educational-cognitive, performing, scientific-research, artistic-practical activities.
