К таким «полезным привычкам» можно отнести: прослушивание аудио книг, работа с сайтами, накопление аудио текстов на мобильном устройстве, ежедневное прослушивание новостных передач на иностранном языке, и т. д.

Примеры практического применения аудирования на уроках различного типа мотивируют учащихся и раскрывают для них области приложения знаний, умений и навыков. Обладание навыками и стратегиями понимания иноязычной речи на слух дает учащимся возможность самостоятельно и независимо изучать иностранный язык и тем самым быть ответственным за свой успех.
