Liu Shiqun - the founder of the system of private piano education in CHINA

The article is devoted to the analysis of the creative activity of the famous Chinese pianist, teacher and composer Liu Shikun, in particular in the matter of his organization and introduction of a private system of children's piano music education, through the opening of a whole network of author's private music centers (schools). The main and most important facts of this activity are highlighted, as well as its consequences for the development ofpiano art in China at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries are analyzed.

It is emphasized that the pedagogical sphere of Liu Shikun's creative activity, and first of all, his creation of an extensive system of author's music schools with a private form of ownership, significantly contributed to the formation and development of mass children'spiano performance in China. And this massiveness, in turn, had a direct qualitative impact on personnel selection and the professionalization of this type of musical art, which later naturally led to the appearance of a large number of young bright Chinese pianists of the new generation, who confidently announced themselves on the world stage with their creative achievements in recent decades music arena and contributed to the formation and further active development of a highly professional Chinese piano school.

It is noted that the educational and pedagogical activity of Liu Shikun was formed on the concept of creating a phenomenon of mass piano culture in China by involving as many children as possible in the process of learning to play this instrument. This artist was also motivated by the humanitarian ideas of Confucianism, aimed at the plane of piano pedagogy. According to this, piano music, which sounds in every house, should help children in the development of their personal qualities, in particular intelligence, courage, aesthetic feelings, etc.

Attention is focused on the fact that the concept of creating a mass piano culture in China, one of the authors of which is Liu Shikun, in addition to involving a huge number of children and youth in making music on this instrument, also includes other types and spheres of artistic and commercial activity, in particular: the organization and conducting various concert events, both with the participation of the students themselves and with the involvement of world-class pianists; holding open lessons, master classes and lectures by leading piano teachers and performers; conducting exhibitions - demonstrations and sales of musical instruments of well-known domestic and foreign manufacturers, etc.

It is emphasized that one of the important factors in the development of a private form of musical learning to play the piano, which also contributed to the spread of piano culture in this country, was the organization of paid general courses in many humanitarian (non-musical) universities in China, where every willing student could take advantage of the offer of initial piano training.

Thus, the large-scale creative activity of Liu Shikun in organizing a private form of musical piano education directly and with high effectiveness influenced the formation and development of mass piano culture in China at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, and with it, the wide artistic achievements of the professional piano school in this country at the current stage.

Key words: Liu Shikun, Chinese musical culture, piano pedagogy, private music education, music schools, piano performance.
