The essence of the socio-cultural competency of the trainer in sports

As you know, professional competence does not imply the acquisition by a specialist of special knowledge or skills but the assimilation of integrative knowledge and actions in each independent direction. The competence also requires constant enrichment of knowledge of the specialty, the study of new information, the ability to understand important social requirements, the search for new information, and the ability to process and apply that information in their activities.

Professional competence is manifested in complex processes, the performance of ambiguous tasks, the use of contradictory information, and the ability to have a plan of action in an unexpected situation. Professionals with professional competence consistently enrich their knowledge, absorb new information, deeply understand the requirements of the era, seek new knowledge, process it, and effectively apply it in their practical activities [4].

One of the important components of the general structure of professional competence in pedagogical activity is socio-cultural competence. After all, a modern teacher not only imparts knowledge to the student and conveys information, but also performs the role of an intermediary between a developing person and society. The feasibility of the interaction in the «child-person-society» relationship also depends on how competent and factorial the teacher is in social life [2]. Today, through the development of the socio-cultural competence of trainers in sports, the need to ensure the quality and competitiveness of the activities of sports educational institutions is exacerbated.

So what do we mean by the socio-cultural competence of a sports trainer?

The socio-cultural competence of a sports trainer characterizes his readiness for professional activity, continuous professional development, and self-improvement. Socio-cultural competence is one of the most important factors in the ability and readiness of a sports trainer to act in accordance with the requirements of professional activity, ensuring the growth of sports results. It is manifested in improving the forms of organization of the training process, in the attitude towards the world around us, to the motherland, to people, to living and inanimate nature, to material and spiritual values, at the level of social adaptation and socialization, social mobility, and the operational and independent solution of strategic tasks related to the management of the training process of all.

In our opinion, the socio-cultural competence of a sports trainer-teacher is to carry out pedagogical activities, to possess universal, special, and professional qualities, to develop tolerance and humanistic culture in oneself, to be able to fully perceive one's homeland, people, language, religion, age-old traditions, cultural identity, to learn about the traditions and values of another country, to know the activities of interaction and cooperation, to establish friendly relations, to establish friendly relations, to establish friendly relations, to establish friendly relations [1]. It can be understood that the trainer-teacher in sports is able to treat the aspects of socio-cultural competence with kindness, purity, endurance, truthfulness, loyalty, perseverance, restraint, tolerance, respect for national and universal values, establish friendly relations with athletes of different nationalities and representatives of other religions, and serve as an example for colleagues and other people.

Socio-cultural competence requires perseverance from a trainer-teacher in sports, adaptation to a new situation, sincerity, tolerance, correctness, honesty, and sharp intelligence. Socio-cultural competence of the sports trainer's personality: a person with a broad scientific outlook and thoughtful faith, socio-political activity, restraint, truthfulness, a deep understanding of social and civic duty, a deep assimilation of the history, national values, and traditions of his people, a tolerant attitude towards others in various life processes, the ability to make optimal decisions in complex non-standard situations, Socio-cultural competence The perception, worldview, opinion, and feelings of the material and spiritual lives of a trainer in sports personify his perspective on reality and his concrete attitude toward the objective world. He determines the character of the judgment that the sports trainer makes and the direction of his behavior and activity.

The trainer in socio-cultural competence sports is kind and generous to others and respects the worldview, religious beliefs, national and ethnic characteristics, traditions, and rituals of others. He takes an active part, feeling the inviolability of what is happening in society through phen omena and processes, deeply knowing and adhering to his civil duties and rights, and treating himself and others, nature, and society wisely.

The trainer of socio-cultural competency in sports has as his task the satisfaction of young athletes' need for consistent intellectual, cultural, spiritual, and moral perfection; the formation of a comprehensively mature personality with an independent worldview and thinking; and educating them in the spirit of devotion to the native land, high civic, human qualities, national ideas, spiritual values, and moral values.

To educate an athlete with a high level of spirituality, it is desirable that the trainer have sufficient knowledge in socio-humanitarian, economic, and other disciplines. Knowing ethics, aesthetics, universal values, and national values, the trainer will become an example for his students, who will gain prestige among their parents and others. The formation of such qualities as will, perseverance, and fortitude - all associated with the ability to withstand the large-scale and extremely intense loads inherent in today's sports training - and mobilize oneself to victory when exhausted, even in the case of injury - is also based on the educational function of the trainer [3]. A sports trainer with socio-cultural competence is able to communicate with others, make optimal decisions in complex, non -standard situations, and take responsibility for the consequences of his actions. Having set high-profile goals for himself, he becomes more and more rich mentally and morally, is able to constantly update (mobility), improve professional skills that correspond to the requirements of scientific and technological progress, modern socio-cultural norms, and the system of value orientations of society, be able to perceive news faster, delve into the secrets of influencing sports, and constantly trains himself to work in non-standard situations.

M. Kholmatova believes that «the spiritual image of a person, his appearance, behavior, and personality are expressed in the culture of communication». «He expresses his feelings, inner birth, and dreams in the process of communication» [5]. A sports trainer with socio-cultural competence is regarded as a thorough connoisseur of his field, believes in his own strength, draws the correct conclusions from mistakes, develops critical thinking, is able to reasonably analyze his activities, absorbs from the environment, colleagues, and other people thoughts important for his professional activity, has a certain logic, and seeks to fully demonstrate the results of his activities within a reasonable time frame. In connection with a change in the style of professional and personal activity, a sports trainer with socio-cultural competence will have the ability to change goals, be able to act adequately even in times of emerging difficulties, analyze complex problem situations, empathize with others, and understand the interests of others.

An important condition for the success of the activity of a sports trainer is his readiness and ability - not only professionally but also personally and spiritually - to have socio-cultural competence. The socio-cultural competence of the personality of a trainer in sports is the basis of his successful activities because it provides a sufficient selection of social actions and the effectiveness of the performance of social roles inherent in the individual.
