Innovative methods of teaching and learning foreign languages in the context of modernization and digetalization of the educational process in higher education establishments of Ukraine

Globalization and integration processes of Ukraine into the European educational space, digitalization of society in general and education in particular, other rapid changes taking place in our world and society, require significant changes in the higher education system. The main and driving idea of modernization of higher education is that the effectiveness of education in higher education institutions can be improved and modified only through the design and implementation of new, modern educational technologies and teaching methods.

UNESCO's analytical report "Sustainable Development after 2015" noted that in the new information age, higher education should become a fundamental element of progress, and innovations in various spheres of social activity should include high dynamism, rapid change of knowledge, information, technologies [2]. Education is one of the main factors of innovative development of society, which today gives impetus to the strategic solution of problems and ensuring systematic reform of national higher education, adequate modernization and integration into the European economic, cultural and information space. Today, the transformational changes conditions in higher education require constant careful study and scientific and practical justification of the best experience of innovative educational activities; characteristics of the content of interactive forms of education, the specifics of their use in higher education; individualized, team, project technologies of knowledge acquisition, information and communication tools, online education and other innovations.

As for the teaching and learning of foreign languages, the state increasingly needs highly qualified specialists with knowledge of foreign languages, professionals who are able to absorb everything new and progressive, innovative, ready to generate and implement fresh original, creative ideas, and to participate profitably.

The demands of the time, current trends, changes in society, the global pandemic accelerate the radical reform of the education system in Ukraine, which directs current and future teachers to abandon the authoritarian style of teaching in favor of a humanistic approach, the use of methods that promote creative principles, taking into account the individual characteristics of participants in the learning process and communication.

The current state of Ukraine's international relations in various spheres of life, its entry into the European and world space, new political, socio-economic and cultural realities need certain transformations in the field of education as an important state institution, including in the field of teaching and learning foreign languages. Today, as never before, the status of a foreign language tends to grow steadily and is becoming increasingly important. Among the world community, a foreign language is increasingly becoming a means of intercultural communication at any level. All this leads to the definition of the main strategic directions of improving the goals, content, methods, techniques and tools of teaching and learning a foreign language.

The concept of "educational innovations" is used in various pedagogical processes to identify adequate mechanisms of influence, combined into one program that covers all areas of transformation of higher education. Thus, the categorical content of innovation in education can, in our opinion, be projected on a dual context, in particular, consider it as a process of large-scale or partial change of education and related activities, and the finished product, ie expected results. In terms of activity, innovative should be considered original, innovative ways and methods of pedagogical actions and tools.

Innovations are essential elements of the development of education in general and the implementation of specific tasks in the educational process, which cause certain changes in the educational sphere [3, p.14].

Thus, educational innovations are characterized by a purposeful process of partial change, leading to modification of purpose, content, methods, forms of learning, methods and style of activity, adaptation of the educational process to modern requirements of time and social demands of the labor market. At the same time, the introduction and approval of new in educational practice is due to positive transformations, ie should be a means of solving pressing problems for a particular institution and withstand experimental testing for the final application of innovations. Modern communicative methodology offers a wide introduction into the educational process of active non-standard methods and forms of work for better conscious assimilation of material. In practice, the following forms of work proved to be quite effective: individual, pair, group and team work.

Today, in the process of learning and teaching foreign languages, the priority is practice-oriented learning, which is based on the student-centric model, ie the representation of high activity by students, independent, cooperative learning.

In the practice of learning foreign languages, the diversification of educational technologies allows you to actively and effectively combine them through the modernization of traditional learning and its reorientation to effective, purposeful.

This approach emphasizes the personal development of future professionals, the ability to master new experiences of creative and critical thinking, role-playing and simulation modeling to find solutions to educational problems, and others.
