Comparative analysis of Russian approaches towards the UN Role in conflict resolution on the cases of North Korea, Ukraine and Syria
Consideration of the concept of Russian foreign policy as an extremely important international platform for preventing and resolving international problems. Russia's position in the United Nations, peculiarities of foreign policy decision-making.

The approach undertaken by Russia in Syria was more characterized as a mix of the strategies, however, it is relevant only by considering Russian involvement in Syrian conflict in two parts: the beginning 2011-2013. With the rising influence in the Middle East region, Russia started to shift focus from the UN towards the platforms of negotiations initiated by itself. Besides, shifting the peace process from the UN-led formats. Russian diplomats skillfully juggled with unclear definitions and wording of certain provisions within the UN Charter and interpreted them in accordance with their actions to justify them and provide legal argumentation.
