Рахмонов Ш.Ш., Дониёрова М.Б.

People live in different continents of the world with various culture, with various behaviour. From ancient times, they built masterpieces of humanity, which today they are the most crowded destinations and will being visited by most people. youth tourism trip student

Today tourism is one of the vital sector of world economy which is increasing gradually per year. UNWTO reports that the number of international tourists reached a peak in 2017 and made up 1,235 million [1, p. 2]. This figure includes both older people and youth.

Youth - is an important factor of social changes, and innovative power, it is not only the object of influence of the society and the state, but also potentially more energetic, innovative and radical subject of social development. WISE (The World Youth Student and Educational) Travel Confederation defines youth tourism as a form of tourism that include independent travelers (young people are not accompanied by a parent or guardian personally) for periods of less than one year, with ages between 15 and 29 years, individuals have the motivation forsuch movement willingness to construe experience vital to experience new culture and to benefit from new learning opportunities formal or informal in an unknown environment, different at normal everyday life.

Statistics shows that youth are the main power in tourism industry because youth tourism is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic markets of the global tourism sector. In the 1990's, it represented 15% of tourism market. In 1991, the World Tourism Organisation reported that “every sixth arrival in the world is represented by a young tourist” and estimated that the average annual growth rate of youth travel was higher by 60% than the average annual growth rate of global tourism. In 1995, a report of the European Travel Commission identified youth travel as being a potential market for 125 million travellers, or 23% of the global market at that time. For the year 2000, the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (F.I.Y.T.O.) declared that youth travel represented 20% of international arrivals, and five years later, the global market of this tourism form counted over 193 million arrivals in 2005, meaning almost 24% of total [2]. UNWTO estimates that around 20% of the 940 million international tourists travelling the world in 2010 were young people [3, p. 2] and estimates that youth travel generated US$ 182 billion in international tourism receipts in 2012, and represented more than 20% of the more than one billion international arrivals [4].

Nowadays, the travel of youth generation around the world is also increasing. In 2014 the youth travel market accounted for over 20% of all international arrivals (equals to 227 million arrivals and US$250 billion) [5].

According to the statistics of WISE Travel Confederation, the number of youth travelling around the world estimated 270 million people in 2015, which constituted 23% of all travellers [6]. It is clearly seen from the graph that youth tourism shows upward trend which is increasing year by year. In 2020, the number of youth travellers is forecasted to be 300 million and it means that youth are the main power of tourism.

The prospects of the development of youth tourism also directly associated with the significant increase of international youth travel receipts. The value of Youth Travel in 2007 was estimated as $143 billion [7, p. 5]. Research by WYFS Travel Confederation and UNWTO indicated that the total value of the international youth travel market was almost USD 190 billion in 2009.

Participation in tourist trips, walks, town tours, tourist rallies and competitions promotes spiritual and physical development, provide the skills of self-expanding human horizons and contribute to its improvement.

To conclude, the youth travel sector has been through rapid transformations, meaning a series of phenomena occurred, such as: a supply and demand growth, the emergence of new market segments, diversification, improvement and acknowledgement of this form of tourism by the world governments. The youth travel market has certain specific features, among which the most important is the complexity and heterogeneity, both in terms of the motivations of youth reflected in practicing various forms of tourism, and in terms of the substantial offer. As seen, youth travel holds an important place in global tourism, and, as a consequence, knowing the main coordinates of the youth travel market implies approaching the aspects regarding the dynamic of youth travel at worldwide level, the size of the market, the main destinations and tourist flows, the youth travel demand, as well as its forms.
