Profound analysis of the currently operating PAPT system has been conducted to work out the innovative PAPT programme.

The necessity to radically reconsider the PAPT system as well as the urgent claim to implement innovative approaches to modern pedagogical individually oriented PAPT technologies have been grounded.

The thesis objective is to work out the concept of designing a PAPT system for tertiary level students.

Scientific theoretical basis provided to design the PAPT concept for tertiary level students has given ground to identify the features of the programme's real changes and functions; highlight the scope of problems to be solved; formulate the key objective of the innovation; substantiate strategic vision of the problem; elaborate the draft version of the future programme including staff resources supply and action plan development.

The corresponding concept of designing the PAPT programme and the technology of its implementation in higher educational institutions has been worked out. Systematization of the directions of specialists' training in higher educational institutions has been carried out with respect to psychological and physiological peculiarities of the professional fields under study, which served the basis for identifying six corresponding groups, namely: information/logical, extreme, creatively-figurative, technical, natural/agrarian, communicative.

Innovative pedagogical technologies are aimed at facilitating students' motivation to undertake PAPT classes, raising their knowledge and awareness in the field of physical education, updating the content of tertiary level education. The research also focuses on ways to improve education process and practices through introducing new approaches to conducting classes in the context of higher educational institution's working day organization; creating an effective system of students' self-dependent physical education; implementing technologies of co-operation between the higher educational institution and the enterprise.

Experimental study has verified efficiency of the innovative PAPT technology for tertiary level students offered within the framework of the undertaken research.
